I've always wanted one of these, even the first gen one. Unfortunately I suck at setting my gain levels so I instead opted for a 32-bit float recorder. Absolutely hate how you butchered that box btw, I can never do that 😂
Hi Vay, 32 bit float is the future of audio recording (besides spatial/3D audio). So you are on the right side of things! It feels so old school already to be fiddling with gain levels tbh. But guess what? I think Rode is thinking of this already. In the Rode Central app, there is a disabled option for 32 bit float. Maybe a firmware update will bring it to the Go II. Sorry about butchering the box. I was perhaps impatient 🤣.
@@CarefulOptimist wow that’s pretty interesting that they might be upgrading it via firmware. When I got my Zoom F2-BT it was the only option in my price range. I’d have preferred better quality so might have to consider upgrading to the Rode! As for what you did to the box, it is rare that I get to see that so maybe if that’s your style, I’ll come here especially to see boxes get butchered!
