Great build as usual. Your WW I aircraft builds have inspired me to try a WW I kit; your build of the Siemens Schukert made me purchase one. I think the combination of your build and the four bladed prop(have never seen one on a WW I fighter) made me do it. Just a quick question, what size Albion Alloys tubing are you using. Thanks Richard
@FlyingCircusModels
@FlyingCircusModels Год назад
Thank you, Richard, that's amazing!!! I really wish you good luck with your build. For this build I used 0.6mm tube, I think it's very accurate and match the scale
@rOEN911
@rOEN911 Год назад
thats nice well done ,for the rigging you are using 0,8 tube in that scale?
@FlyingCircusModels
@FlyingCircusModels Год назад
Thank you, I used 0.6mm for outer diameter and 0.4mm inner. I feel that 0.8mm is too big for the scale

Hi Oleg, I would understand if you don’t have the time to respond. If you do have the time though, I was wondering if you can recommend any WW1 reference books on planes and possibly armored cars? I absolutely love the character of these machines, but finding appropriate references is extremely difficult. Thank you for sharing your techniques!👍🏾
@FlyingCircusModels
@FlyingCircusModels Год назад
Sure, I try to reply to all comments, I really like Windsock and Datafiles series by Ray Rimell, i always try to use them for my reference during my builds, also Osprey publishing has a lot of interesting books, not only about WW1, but about almost everything. I'm not very familiar with armored cars though, but I think you can find some with Osprey. Good luck with the search, WW1 period is a very interesting, so many technology innovations

Sorry, one last question, your drill bits seem super strong and flexible. At 0.2mm mine break really easy. What brand are you using? Many thanks
@FlyingCircusModels
@FlyingCircusModels Год назад
No worries, my please to help fellow modelers, I use Excel drills, the reason why mine do not break, in my opinion, because I do not use a heavy drill, my drill bits are inserted and glued to medical needles, that are much lighter, so you can control the pressure more precise
