fuckin LOVED this album. Made Trap music look more legitimate for being just beyond hood music. I had people who didn't even like hip hop digging some of the tracks just cuz of how masterfully crafted the beats were

It's basically taking a flavourless artist like Travis copy and pasting that ATL sound and watering it down to make it viable to those who already look down on the trap as a subgenre and adding high budget production which is why the white "Le Wrong Generation" crowed aren't as harsh on it as they are on The Rich Gang Tour mixtape, OG Maco EP and DS2 which are clearly better trap projects to those who are immersed in the subgenre and appreciate it for what it is not just dabbling in it like most people. Just my humble opinion.
I respect that. Everything has its pros and cons. Green Day may not be the most genuine Punk Rock band, but they gave the genre a lot of exposure, and they still had some decent tracks in their early days, IMO Now with Travis, I dont think its fair to call him a flavourless artist, he draws a lot of inspiration on those that influence him, but I thought Rodeo was very well thought out. To me, DS2, OG Maco EP and Rich Gang Mixtape were very half-baked projects. The beats were banging without a doubt, but they didn't really help add any progression to the genre.

Rodeo is a work of art I played each track over and over and over and over again for a year and each track gets more intresting the more I listen to it idrk y but the production and sound is so perfect plus some intresting lyrics. It's got an Illmatic quality. He nailed this

Castro It is underrated to critics. Those dumbasses gave this album low scores. And to all the people who think BITTSM is better. I like both but i think Rodeo is better.
One of those albums I WISH I could relisten for the first time again. I still have it in regular rotation to this day, but that first time...completely mind blowing, almost (if not all) every song was a home run.
