This is an epitome of what a good cover should be. I love the way they put the guts in it and made the Rest of Their Own. Great job by all. The dude on the 11 string was definitely killing it.

You know... I actually really like the "audio issues" with the song. It kind of fits and gives the performance a feeling of "building" up and getting bigger and bigger as they go on, as they slowly work out the kinks and you can hear more and more of John singing every couple of lines until it's all set properly.

D Howe, un jour faudrait m'expliquer comment bosse les mec.. Très souvent le son qui émane des régie vidéo est dégueulasse; il y a un festival près de chez moi les mec on une régie en VI6 dédié à ça et le son est systématiquement dégueulasse! Il ferais mieux de prendre un gauche/droite de la façade! Bon là ça va, mais c'est très souvent que ça sonne mal.. Par exemple les live TV type grand journal/ Quotidien.

All that talent is no substitute for a sound check and rehearsal - which is possibly the reason the audio sucked. They are extraordinary musicians nonetheless - but this has the feel of a last minute thing - which, come to think of it - makes it kinda special. John Butler is something else...and I'd drive five hundred miles to see Rodrigo y Gabriela play live.

I think they play together on little or no notice. This requires study focus and a solid ear. It's not easy to focus that hard in order to find your part. Sometimes this negates you're smiling or playing up to the crowd. Everything you have heart and soul is pouring out through your fingers. This is why guitarists make strange faces. It is as if you become an electrical conductor. I digress. I definitely enjoy the raw emotion. Great job dudes and dudette.

Was it just me or was there kind of an absence of musical chemistry? Haha. I have jammed more times than I can count, and normally there is a kind of magical cohesion but this... was not that. Haha. Solid work, don't get me wrong, but lacking in chemistry.
