2 major flaws. Battery life and sd card issue (destroyed every sd I put in it) including an expensive 1tb

I just put a 2TB SSD in it. I have a launch day one and no issues with my micro slot however, I know that was a major issue. I thought they fixed it on newer models?

@goozebump well I pre ordered mine. I have had mine since launch and it’s been fine. But this review was more for people looking to buy now. From what I can tell I believe they fixed the bad SD Card readers. So I can’t say for sure. It’s why I didn’t cover it in my review. I hadn’t had the issue my self and I haven’t seen much since the first few months of shipments. I would pray Asus fixed them over a year later haha.

I wanted to get the ROG Ally X but it didn’t seem like the biggest upgrade from mine. Except the RAM and Battery. So I am going to wait for the next one. I really hope they do an OLED display haha.

My rog ally thumbstick got wobbly and couldn't find the replacement beside from Accessories Asus. I don't know how you can manage that on your rog ally 😅

Weird, I did have a friend who played Getting Over it and he legit wore down the thumb sticks. Since where the RGB lights are it’s rigid it was like eating though the sticks.

It’s an older Mac we just use for looks lol. However, you can’t see the 85” tv near me that imma do a review of soon 😂😂😂. Maybe I’ll show all my adult money stuff eventually. 😂😂

For sure this hybrid chip struggles to work properly with AMD software, “out of the box” so to speak, although you can take steps to fix it yourself. I don’t think it runs games properly installed on external hard drives. If you just install games on to an external hard drive using a standard 7,000 or 8,000 series mobile AMD chip you are gonna get better results if you do the same exact thing with a Z1 chip.
