marty dav Yes, there can be a few people who play his style of tennis but they didn’t win 20 GS. His creativity wasn’t enough to win so many titles on tour, he had to be consistent at what he does and that has brought him the repute.

@And Dew I agree, but most people on here don't because they haven't seen tennis before this era.If there is a best it's probably between Laver and Federer - but then what about Pancho Gonzales, Ken Rosewall, Jack Kramer, Lew Hoad (before his back injury) and all the other great Australians and Americans of the fifties and sixties.Then there was the Connors,Borg, McEnroe and Lendl era. Then the Eighties, when there were so many great players that they "cannibalised" one another, and no one could win more than eight Majors. Then we had the Nineties with the brilliant Sampras and Agassi. (I've missed out the self-destructive but greatly gifted Nastase.) It's absurd to see ridiculous fanboys proclaiming GOAT all over the place, when they have little or no knowledge of tennis history.

2018 wasn't too bad honestly. Had 3 MPs on his serve against Delpo, and made it to another M1000s final and SF where he lost to Dojo on _his_ comeback. I definitely think the 40-15 in IW against Delpo F up his momentum that year... But, given all that has happened to Delpo, I'm not mad that he at least got his maiden M1000, despite how he got it.

He was 2nd best and would have 6 FOs if it weren't for Nadal. He beat Peak Djokovic on clay and also ended Nadal's 82 match winning streak (WTF!!) on clay.

I commend Roger for doing as well as he did in the clay court season. He hadn't played a clay match in 2 yrs and yet still made it deep to several tournament's, i.e. the french open. He didn't do too bad

Djoko is not aging. He's playing better than he ever has, and he's getting scarily efficient at playing. Nadal doesn't have a forehand that can hit penetrating shots on hard court, though he'll still have the best forehand on clay. Federer has days even now that remind us of 2006, but one day of God mode and he's injured in a couple of matches.

There's no wrong time to win a match..
