Was there last night and brought tickets for tonight while queuing for our bags afterwards. You will not be disappointed, unless.... We saw 3 people refused entry and told to go and buy different trousers (from seriously expensive 02 shops) as they had camoflage print. Because of the recent nonsense about the show they think this will somehow acheive something.
Wouldn’t get let in by security because I was wearing camo shorts. This was a “decision made by roger waters Himself “... so missed half hour of the show. Had to go to the spoons and make a donation of £20 to get some chef trousers from them. My mate paid a couple hundred pounds for each ticket. We were Sat right up in the bleachers . Where there is no handrails so if you stand up too quick you’ll fall forward and down about 100ft. It was cramped as f. And you know the whole “build a wall between me and the crowd” or whatever?... yeah the screens above the stage- we couldn’t see a thing. Then they have an intermission break. Where the line for the toilets is about 200 people long. Oh and if you’re there for the long ass political speeches and not the music, you’ll have a great time. Musically sounds amazing, the size of the venue is incredible. But... personally thought it was boring and security need to make it clear about dress code before. They also said you can’t wear perfume, and have no headphones on your head. I had to hold my keys, bank card, phone and vape in my hands because I couldn’t access my shorts pockets underneath the chef trousers while sitting there shoulder to shoulder with no leg space and a fear of vertigo. So if you like long speeches, his slow piano music, protesters, then this gig is for you. Personally I’m not a pink floyd guy or a roger waters guy, I get what he stands for, I get it. But this show wasn’t for me. The tickets were too expensive for what we got to witness,
The political speeches ruined the gig for me personally. Not what he was saying but for how bloody long it went on for! We paid to see him perform not rant! Fantastic light show and was really loud which saved the show! Also manage to wreck “Comfortably Numb” which was hugely disappointing! Wouldn’t go and see him again!
Maybe you had to be there but it’s not the magic of Floyd without Gilmour, Mason and Wright. I was at Earls Court in 1994 for Pulse tour and it just can’t be matched.
