Where did you get your data from when you were endorsing your speedlight and you said, "most professionals do not use ttl"?

Helpful, everyone else just shows you the product, not how to attach it.
@zone5ive
@zone5ive 7 лет назад
Why don't you show how the strap actually attaches to the flash instead of having the flash at the edge of the frame or out of the frame? And the music was a distraction.
@jasonbodden8816

So let me add to my 4 year-old review that the softbox attachment is practically useless as the diffusion material is so thin it doesn't do shit to soften the light really. It's only SLIGHTLY more diffuse.

i couldnt afford to buy the flash bender for the $215 price so i went out bought the materials and got a very excellent taylor to construct it for me under the supervision of myself.... i did a lil HOW TO vid and also call it a different name *FLEXI-LIFUSSER* which stands for Flexible Light Diffuser and it acts as a bounce card to.. tested it out and trust me it works all for just $80 and i am going to get 2more from the materials that i had bought. check the video out and will upload pics of the item itself as well as some before and after pics ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ohDh9mLeNAo.html

Most professionals don't shoot TTL? That comment alone is absolutely stupid. Thousands of pros around the world use TTL. What complete nonsense. And no visual samples? This is a waste. I'm sorry.
@Anthony-cn8ll
@Anthony-cn8ll 7 лет назад
Yeah, this seems to be a misconception among some photographers. TTL is great if you know how to use it. The number one complaint I've heard about TTL is that the lighting comes out too neutral. The solution to that is Flash Exposure Control. The second most complaint I hear is inconsistent metering. The solution for that is Flash Exposure Lock (and understanding how TTL metering works in the first place). Ironically, many manual-only flash users will use a separate light meter. And that's not to say you shouldn't meter for manual, but I find it ironic when they also say in the same breath that TTL somehow isn't professional.

Pros use ETTL II all the time. ALL the time. If you're shooting an event (wedding, reception, etc.) where the distance between the subject and the flash is regularly changing, ETTL is absolutely necessary. For still setups with multiple Speedlites, it's still a great setting for a number of the speedlites, and saves you from having to change them all anytime you make a change elsewhere. Sure, I rely on manual more than ETTL in these setups, but to say "pros never use it" is absurd. Check out the work from guys like Bob Davis. He leaves his Speedlites in ETTL and rarely uses manual.

Most pros don't shoot with TTL? Really? I been a pro for 30+ years and that's news to me. Send a kid out to do a mans job...
@Faymusmedia
@Faymusmedia 4 года назад
Sure. Lol I have been shooting for 20 years and haven’t relied on it once. Not one time. But ok there. Don’t condescend. Speak for yourself
@jasonbodden8816
@jasonbodden8816 4 года назад
@@Faymusmedia He wasn't being condescending. YOU were when you said that nonsense that most pros don't use TTL. You have no idea if they do or don't but I can tell you a lot do. It's easy to find countless pros who use TTL but you think you sound cool by being a Manual flash purist. You don't. Spouting drivel like that makes you sound and look stupid. Just because you don't use it, making blanket statements like most pros don't use TTL is asinine at best. I guess Joe Mc Nally, Roberto Valenzuela, Daniel Norton, Sal Cincotta, Cliff Mautner, Mark Wallace, Lindsay Adler and Erik Valind - just to name a few - aren't pros. You're telling @Guy Photo speak for himself. Take your own advice. I don't know why I keep coming back to this vid. I guess it's just to see who else calls you out on your crap lol.
