It is a bit violent when dispatching a fish. It’s way better in our opinion to dispatch them quickly then bleed them out. This ensures better table fair. Plus it’s way better than letting a fish slowly die gasping for air. Yes it is not for all people but it is part of the process of getting true organic protein. No we did not. It’s a lot easier using the kicker you have faster response while using the the throttle while turning to avoid other boats

We are not sure that was our first time up there and only fished from the jetty’s to the bridge

To get the offering to the right depth. We we’re running 5-6 rods

Like JT said it helps to put the lures and flashers at different depths to prevent tangling with the other rods on the boat. Additionally it allows you to feel the bottom with the weight to give you an approximate idea of how far the flasher and lure are from the bottom
