One of the best dev stories I heard about this game is the creator of Skies of Arcadia saw this level and was moved to tears seeing the Skies world in such detailed 3D and hearing this music. Would be fantastic if SEGA expanded their catalog of games again to introduce people to these franchises. Let the house of Sonic be so much more.
Stuff like this shows that SUMO puts a lot of work into making the stages feel like something out of the source material. In fact, when they showed this racetrack to the original Skies of Arcadia producer for feedback, she was moved to tears.
In all my gaming history that is by far the BEST rpg i have played ever, the world, the lore, characters and gameplay simply got me hooked in it forever...to this day i still feel sad it still has not gotten a sequel or at least a remake yet, i saw the Rogue's Landing stage and freaked out at how perfect it is.
Edio Mattos from what I heard, one of the producers of Skies of Arcadia was shown this track in the game before it released, and she herself was moved to tears.
I loved how most of the stages has soundtrack changed mid-game. But for Rogue's Landing it was just more fitting and on-point because that was how it worked in Skies of Arcadia
i remember hearing this for the first time and i had this teary feeling, even though i never played Skies of Arcadia, i bet every SOA fan had tears in their eyes.
ik, when I also first played this map, I had no knowledge of Skies of Arcadia, but the map theme had me feeling some sort of nostalgic feeling which actually did make me tear up a bit
You know what would be super cool? If during the last lap, the music switched to Opportunity or Crisis depending on your position in the race. Like 3rd or above it would play Opportunity, and below 7th Crisis would play. Well, the music having both Vyse's theme and the Armada theme is likely a homage to that little detail in Skies of Arcadia, but I would've cried if I heard Opportunity while dominating the race ;~;
I admit while I LOVE this track I was a bit disappointed that they didn't remixed more familiar songs like the boss theme, because having just completed Skies of Arcadia Legends a few days ago Vyse's Theme really isn't played that much throughout the game (the only time I really remember hearing it was when you get the Delphinus?)
Skies of Arcadia needs to be remade for modern platforms if I say so myself, just so that way all of us can enjoy it. Just imagine it with a fully orchestrated soundtrack, revamped graphics, expanded storyline, etc. Holy shit, it could be the ultimate version of the game!
This track and music makes me want to play Skies of Arcadia so badly. SEGA really should release a remastered version on current consoles but they just love sitting on great older games
Richard Jacques' personal bullshit not withstanding, I LOVE this game's soundtrack! And this is, hands down, one of the best tracks from the OST! When even the Skies of Arcadia creator was moved by this, you KNOW it's good.
Awesome tribute to one of my favorite games of all time, Skies of Arcadia and Thank you Reiko Kodama (RIP) for helping to develop such an amazing game.
I absolutely adore the soundtrack for this game because of how Sega arranged both parts of this piece (and most of the other track themes) to sort-of mesh together into a song, so to speak. It doesn't just feel like one single phrase looping over and over again. Instead, they alternate back and forth between two separate sections to make the meoldy feel more complete.
Amazing music! Amazing Race Track! I love everything about this course! Definitely one of my favourite race tracks in this game as well as Adder's Lair, Samba Studios, Sanctuary Falls, Burning Depths, Dream Valley, Race Of AGES and Graveyard Gig! 😎
My Favorite Race Tracks Ocean View,Casino Park,Sanctuary Falls,Race Of Ages,Out Run Bay,Dream Valley,Graffiti City,Samba Studios,Burning Depths And Rouge Landing 😀
SONIC & ALL-STARS RACING TRANSFORMED ORIGINAL SOUNDTRACK Rouge's Landing Composers: Yutaka Minobe & Tatsuyuki Maeda Arranger: Richard Jacques Genre: Dubstep • Video Game Music
If sega ever Makes another sonic Game, they should make The Military Dungeon stage with this music, perhaps Sonic could get caught in the middle of a galleon air battle and have to dodge in and out of constantly blowing up ships. Then maybe he could catch a ride on maybe a Fighter jet (AFTER BURNER) and Fall onto ice. Then The galleon ships that were destroyed could fall and sonic would have to run from them on ice (Ice cap zone) the music could change too
Especially when the original director is already not with us anymore. Rest in peace. I just hope that SEGA can do a remaster version of the game, with a tribute to Rieko Kodama.
thaneros yes, it is indeed Vyse's theme, and it is a beautiful remix of the song if I say so myself. Imagining an HD version of of Skies of Arcadia with this remix playing would be beautiful if I say so myself. I'd want none other than Sumo Digital to handle it considering the stunning job they did with this course on SASRT.
so 2 things 1 I need this to be constantly playing in the background for the rest of my life and 2 if they ever made an hd version which i know they wont i would totally pay the full 60 cause that game is just worth it
Me too dude, I truly hope they revamp this game for PS5/XBSX and Switch, add some new tracks and songs to the game and give us even more characters. Bonus if they do a track based off Valkyria Chronicles and make Gunther Welkin and Alicia Melchiott playable in a vehicle resembling the Edelweiss.
All I thought though this was my hatred of the Red Gaia after your first battle with the magic cannon ship... Never did pass the first disk to this day.... But great upload.
Nope. Neither versions of the game had a game breaking bug. The only diffrences is that the dreamcast version had better sound quality and the GC version had more extra content.
I fight my self a part of me says this the best ost in the entire game and another part of me says addair's lair is the best theme in this game but honestly this hole game don't have any normal songs the less level can reach any song of this game is amazing espacilly This Addair's lair Graffiti city Race of ages outrun bay Sanctuary falls Temple trouble
Very cool! I know I have my objections with the theme for Vyse in this game but this really hits the spot by comparison. Gah, how I still wish we get a remaster or sequel for SoA, even after 20 years of waiting. Biggest dream of mine is to see it look as beautiful as Valkyria Chronicles. ;_;
It had two disks and it was ridiculously huge to say it was all compacted into 2gb of data. Now the GameCube ver im not sure about... I looked at it but again the fact red gaia still kept kicking my ass lol I heared it a few other characters and a bit more ya could do with Rogues landing but other than that ya would have to Wiki or google it mate.
When I listen to this I imagine myself being in another dimension where everything in my life is just perfect and the life inside me conceals and feels it all. In other words, I love this track- plus the nostalgia. 😭😭🤩😊
Did the Dreamcast version of this game have two discs? I heard the original was bugged in some way but can't remember how. And I originally found this game from the Gamecube version which was one disc with extra content.
I've never heard the original music before, but I don't need to to know that they fucked it up. Horrible remixes. If they were incapable to making decent remixes, they should've just used the original music like in the first ASR. Sonic Generations had some pretty good remixes, why couldn't they just style these remixes like the ones from Generations, instead of this mainstream pop shite?!
Exactly. I've listened to the Skies of Arcadia music, and this is pretty accurate to the original. I especially like the Military Facility Dungeon remix, and they even brought back the flute part (it's now just a synth part, but it's wonderful).
