We know how badly he was lamblasted when he declared the inning with Sachin in 190's denying him the double century. It was obvious that he was ahead of his time. Kapil Dev, MS Dhoni, Rohit all of them had the never say die attitude. I remember those days in 1983, when Kapil single handedly won the match against Zimbaabwe where he scored 175 when the whole team’s score was 240, unfortunately there was no video of the match because the press had boycotted the coverage for some odd reason. The London newspapers had flashed, “Kapil’s devils made it” and since then cricket became a big sport in India. Happy to see finally Rohit smiling wholeheartedly, esp. after November 2023. Boys played really well.
