Reminds me of when I used to watch Jion and how happy I was when she talked more and more as she grew. I'm going to be soooo proud of Rohui the day she starts talking in full sentences.

aww...don't be sad Mr Taeyoung, you're doing great as a parent. Maybe better because there are still a lot of fathers, especially in Asia, who are not actively parenting with their wife. A lot of men would rather sit around and expect the wife to do it and loudly judge/criticise their child, and think that passes as parenting. And each child develops at their own pace, you really don't have to worry much. But, you and your wife do need to stop treating Rohui's plumpness as a bad thing, there was no need to call her pig.

I agree with all except the last part. We should not be so sensitive about everything. If parents and children cant joke around then thats problematic. They are not making her lose weight, also everyone want their children healthy so they tend to make sure they are not obese or underweight. Totally normal.

I don't think it's about lowering her self-esteem. I think it is about developing her self-esteem. They are two different things. Both lowering and not developing can result into a low self-esteem.

It depends on how long it goes on. I've cared for children that are 4 and get actively frustrated when their parents try to do everything for them. It slowly makes the child think 'oh...my parents don't have confidence that I'd be able to do this....do they not think I'm capable? That I'm smart?" That sort of thing is kind of how it relates to self esteem but really only if it's prolonged past late toddlerhood.

I relate to this so much lmao only with me my parents (my mom on particular) did things for me well into my teen years and I found that by the time I graduated I didn't know how to do most of those basic necessities that people learn in their teen years and it damaged my self esteem to know how behind my peers I was.

at 2:12, you can see the plate and a piece of food on the floor. It kind of looks like the plate and food on the table.😅 But then in the next shot it's gone. lol did they record that again or am I just seeing things...Still I'm so glad rohui is developing well. Taeyoung is a good father and I know he always had rohui best interest at heart.

As much as I love taeyeon and eugene's way of parenting, there were times where I felt like he was slightly helicopter parenting. Although I do think, that just stems out of his love for his daughter, it can still be a bit harmful.

There was an episode where the family went back to Guam to visit Eugene's mom and was looking through photo albums. As it turns out, Rohui looks exactly like her mom did at the same age. You really couldn't tell the two apart. I know that it's a tall order, but I think that she may grow up to be as pretty as Eugene...

To be honest, things like this are practically useless and its a waste of money. Everyones child is different and will develop at their own pace. In the end, they will usually all reach the basic standards of talking. They just need some time

Thing is not all children are the same. You say they will all reach the basic standards of talking, yet there are adults who stutter at every word. They can't form proper sentences. May or may not have correlation to how they were raised but it can certainly affect the child's speech development.

It seems like you're insinuating that parents don't have to do this evaluation because each child is different. On the contrary, it's BECAUSE each child is different that parents should consider doing this. If you notice that in a few episodes where this psych evaluation was featured (like the twins with Hwijae), experts give advice based on the individual children's needs, so they're not actually treating each child the same way. It's a bit of a generalization to say that children will grow at their own pace.
