Absolutely and this what I wanted to learn about. Notes are just small parts of the bigger picture. It's the overall finished blend that is the important part.
I am so, so happy he described it. Everyone is telling me it smells like straight out of the bottle fizzy coke. And I don't get that. I get coke mixed with something dark (earth, or wood or ... something). Now I know it is the cognac and tannings from the wood that I am smelling. Which also helped me to understand why if it is supposed to smell like pure coca cola is still considered a winter/fall scent rather than a summer scent. Thank you Fragmental and Roja for clear that up for me. Was scared my nose was playing tricks on me:-)
The few times I’ve seen Roja Dove on camera I’ve very much enjoyed listening to his descriptions of fragrance. Such a fervor and passion for it, it’s awesome!! It is a joy listening Roja explaining his artistic process, while adding these technical but very accessible notes on the craft of perfumery. After this video I ended up watching a bunch of videos of Roja, and he is fascinating, you just want to hear more and more. I haven't smelled any Roja perfumes before, but I will probably correct this mistake soon.

Is this the ultimate Christmas perfume? I just got this today. A blind buy because of this content and the story about the mysterious person. The Enigma. I’m looking out side my window and I can see the lawn is full of snow. This scent gave me a Christmas feeling I haven’t felt in a long time. This perfume was very kind to me

I have a good mind to procure a bottle for myself, although I cannot but help feeling overcharged at £375/€450,00 for a mere 50 ml bottle. One more thing: I do have my doubts about Mr Dove being the actual perfumer behind his fragrances; some credit him with being the creative director, which stands to reason, but a master perfumer… neither Sergio Momo of Xerjoff nor Roger Dove strike me as anything of the kind.

I love listening to the clear passion of both Chris, as a wearer and a fan of the fragrance, but also Roger as the creative mind conjuring the imagery behind the scent. You can close your eyes and imagine the scene depicted. You can almost taste the cigars in the air and the liquor in the glass. Yet another fantastic edited piece by Chris. The content just gets better and better. I bore people to death at work telling them about Chris’ pages and reviews! 😂 I’m the fragrance expert in my small world but I always tell them what Chris is saying too!! 👍

Congrats on getting to meet, interview Roja Dove. I have Dua & Alexandria renditions of Enigma; they have fantastic, realistic, best-I've-smelled cognac notes, rich opulence with just the right amount of sweetness. Great stuff. What wonderful imagery from the man himself! Such an extraordinary piece this one. For me, it always conjures up a dark brown leather couch my grandfather used to sit in when enjoying a nice glass of the warm stuff. Surrounded by stained wood and a haze of golden light from an antique lamp nearby, half of his face was in shadow to emphasize the mysteriousness of the whole affair. It's my favourite of Roja's entire line and a stunner to wear to an elegant party. Great video Chris!

I wish all fragrance reviews were like this. Great lighting, sound, editing, and focus. Enigma has been on my wishlist for sometime but never quite got around to testing. I think it's the 2 names, Enigma and Creation E that I found confusing. Looking forward to more with Roja Dove. Would love to enter the giveaway, thanks.

In Australia we do not have one retailer that stocks roja parfums, so i am yet to sample any of his creations. This video has influenced me to get started so i've just ordered a decant of elysium, its the only one i can get my hands on at the moment. Seriously cannot wait to try enigma. Love your work Chris! I'll be picking it up later this year but won't really be needing it until autumn at least👌 I own fetish by roja , well actually had 2 of them because i smashed a full bottle.of it so i had to buy it twice 😢 count me in for that discovery 😍 Fantastic to hear from roja himself! I had a chance to sample Enigma a few days ago at Bergdorf and I absolutely love it. Roja will be there next Saturday and I can’t wait to meet him and speak with him about some of my favorites from his house. Great video mate.
