After watching this video, I’m not sure what I had as a kid. Mine had this setup engine, shocks and frame but with the plastic translucent tank and mag wheels. I had thought it was the RT model but that frame was different than this, As the rear shocks on this are at a more raked angle and exhaust went under rather than around the side. It was the fastest dirt bike in town. Somehow while holeshotting I broke the output shaft on the transfer case and that was it for the Rokon. I ended up trading it for a KX 250 and the guy I traded with was going to get a machinist to remake the output shaft. I never heard if he was successful. At the time the $200 it was going to take to fix it was out of my price range. I wish I still had the Rokon as it was a fun bike. I was able to get many fun years out of it though and have many memories of pushing it home after breaking a belt riding it through the swamp. It made one hell of a back up snowmobile during the winter when my AMF broke constantly. Rokon on frozen lake = scary fun…. If only I had used studded tires.
Me and my best friend Dave were riding on a Sunday and came up on one of these. This bike was a rocket 🚀 in the straight drag. It ate our big husky and my maico 450!
My dad has one of these in the storage, all original and starts up but needs a little work. What does one of these cost now days if we wanted to sell it?
How good were these for Reliability and handling? I read on the forums they were a bit "Top heavy"? I own a '74 TM 250 Suzuki and for those who've ridden one they are wicked scary but fast. I've always loved these real outcast bikes Especially the Can-Ams so underrated & Interesting. Anyone here from MI? I'm looking for another TM125 suzuki,
When I was 14 a friend asked me if I wanted to ride his. My heart raced just by the question. I was on a Suzuki TM 125. The power of the automatic was scary for a little guy like me.
Hello, yes these 340 automatics were incredibly quick. Didn't handle too bad either! They had a very solid feel to the acceleration, very linear. In my opinion if Rokon had fit these engines with a kick start instead of a pull start they would have sold a million of them! Cheers
I bought this for my wife thinking she could ride with me and my 1973 Maico 450 Enduro. I rode it home and punched it to hope the curb outside my house... Doh! it dragged my ass across the yard. Seeing this she wouldn't even sit on it. Bottom line,,, I got a new enduro LOL.
