As a Filo, growing up with Michael Bolton, Carpenters, ABBA, Michael learns to rock, Frank Sinatra we were used to listening to the adults doing the karaoke every day. We learned to sing English songs first even before learning how to read and write. Western music is in every household.

I saw Roland Abante on the WISH 107.5 BUS a few years ago and was really impressed with his raspy, deep Soulful voice. He deserves to have a music deal with a music label. America finally gets to hear this great talent.

Actually the translator slickly bought Roland that hug. He didn't translate the question correctly, he just said to Roland if he would like to sing already .. I'm pretty sure though if he did translate correctly Roland would be too shy and/or hesitant to say yes 🤭😁😊

I've been watching all other reaction videos only today and I can no longer count the number of times I wiped my tears. Your reaction guys were so pure and sincere. Meanwhile, this is not an easy song to sing. I love watching singing shows or competitions and very seldom do they make this song their audition piece. The first was in The Voice Poland. It was good. But this one by Bunot, he made me cry this time. I know Bunot can perform but I wasn't expecting a great arrangement in the song. Nicely done!

That was from 2 days ago and the 1st day it already had 1.6M views on YT. The karaoke thing is truly a phenomenon in the philippines, no need to attend formal and expensive voice lessons, it's better than any vocal coaches out there lol and Roland abante aka Bunot is a living testament to that haha...this performance deserves a golden buzzer maybe all were given out in the previous auditions and if so then this is going to be a tough competition in the weeks to come. Actually, roland is a better singer when drunk...seriously. He's from Cebu province where Morissete hails from. Both he and his interpreter were speaking in cebuano (just one of several visayan dialects). Youll find heaps of great singers in that part of the country. The funny thing I noticed about Simon here is that he's on with his poker face but could hardly contain it, it took a while before he joined the standing ovation, gave 2 thumbs up and quickly went back to his seat as if not wanting people to see that he's super impressed lol. This was another great reaction from you Mike and Jess. I thouroughly loved this. Thank you!
