Side note for MAC users: Running a Windows emulator doesn't work out! We work on a GP66 Leopard MSI laptop with additional RAM and storage. Solid laptop.

How do you think the bn 2 would go printing reasonably large vinyl wrap for my boat, would it withstand the extreme salt/ sun exposure? You seem very helpful and have great channel 👍🏻 keep up the good work

Any comparison speed wise for draft prints? Ever since you made that suggestion, we've been using it here and there. Side note though, on some prints it either doesn't print on one edge or prints ultra light. We have two machines and it does the same on both. Works fine in standard though. Thanks

I have had this machine for 4 months and I STILL haven't been able to master the Flexi software and the cutting feature. Cuts are not aligned to the design, prism paper only prints vertically and not horizontally. I have a lot of pretty mistakes. lol. Your channel is the only one with any kind of detailed information on this machine. So THANK YOU for what you do!! I would have drop-kicked this machine by now if not for you.

Is the quantity of stickers still limited to 250 prints of one design in VersaWorks, or the software provided? If we ever made sticker rolls, or label rolls, I'd want to max out the number of prints to suit the roll vinyl amount. Thanks for doing what you do!!!

You can not print DTF transfers on a Roland BN2 or BN. The BY-20 or BN-20D is the Roland DTF printer

you can make a video on how to print white with the BN2-20. How to create the file, which settings are necessary in Versa Works. Because this is still a bit of a science for me at the moment and I can't find where this is explained.

Unfortunately I do not have a BN2-20 or BN-20 so I am unable to make a video with printing white on either model. I only have the CMYK machines.

How do I do a contour cut for the word ROYALTY with the center of the letter o and the center of the letter a cutout? Thanks!

Play with the contour distance until it shows a cut line in those areas. The area inside the A is much smaller than area inside the O, so that may pose a problem. Hope that helps.

They should've added the auto sheet cut feature as an external hardware button on the printer with a clear button protector (to lift and press the button to commit to a sheet cut).

I’m trying to print laminate and cut with the BN2-20a but I’m not sure where to line up the cut marks when I put the vinyl back in the printer to cut. Do you have any videos for this?

@@sheilatyson9114 I did not but I figured it out. I put my fingers on the crop marks and push down a little and make sure they are in the middle of the cut channel.

Same problem, here I can not print laminate and cut. The bn2 20 doesn't read the crop marks.

This is a printer and cutter in one. You do not need a separate cutting machine

I set up my BN2-20A with your instructions. Only problem is when I send file to print, it will RIP but when it goes to PRINT STATUS, I get antriangle with a ! to the left of the file.

No you would want to use a sublimation printer for that.

BN2-20 5 colours/white ink, and the BN2-20A 4 colours, no white ink, both are for printing on white vinyl only, so what would be the purpose of the white ink ?

This is not exactly accurate. If you are printing on metallics or clear material like clear window cling or metallic sticker paper, you would want to put a layer of white down behind the CMYK to get the colors to be very opaque. You CAN print on both without the white layer, but the colors are transparent

my bn2 is constantly going offline, it's constanly telling me to set up materials that are already set up.

You'll need to click setup everytime you load a new material. But then you just select that material type, confirm it's loaded and it will say it's ready for output.

@SilhouetteSchool not what I've experienced. 🤦‍♀️ it goes offline. Even though the paper was set up, I've waisted more ink than what I've used for actual printing. I can set it up print for a little bit, walk away for about an hr, when I come back if I want to print again it says it's offline and has me set it up all over again.

FYI This printer doesn’t perfcut it jams continuously after trying all settings and using the 60/.10 I’ve tried support no help

I've perf cut just fine with it..if you are getting material jams then you'll need to adjust the settings and/or the blade.

Does anyone know why after I export from Flexi to Versa it doesn’t let me use the 18.9” Width? When I press get media width it goes to 16.3”. Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
