Sounds super close to the original, I had the D50 in late 90's. But sold it cause i couldn't find anymore patches for it except the stock. Then after i sold it i found some, Darn! 😆 Great job for Roland to do this as parts are really getting scarcely harder to find. Nothing beats " Soundtrack " which was wildly used by alot of famous artists. Seal " Future Love Paradise " and " Native Digital Dance that Peter Gabriel used quite a bit and Taylor Dayne " Tell it to my Heart " album
Thank you! Excellent! Please can you tell me what the first song that starts 20 seconds into the video is called? I love it but can't remember what it's called or who it's performed by? Many thanks.
I know the Original D50 used a combination of sampling & digital synthesis i.e. the attack was sampled & the rest was synthesised (hence why the Strings sounded so good) how does the VST compare to the Original patches? - I haven't had the pleasure of owning a D50 & have been looking at getting one - but at still £400+ for a half decent condition one I am considering the Virtual, as I have a couple of controller boards. Thanks
I'd say it was 100 percent to the sounds that came out of the original d50 mate. I also own a Korg M1 and the Korg M1 vst is 100 percent to that also. I don't have a D50 now and I only keep the Korg for nostalgia reasons
@@dannywhittle4245 Great thanks. Forgive me I'm a newbie to all this virtual stuff!, I've only ever owned/used actual Keyboards & Synths etc. So I need advice how to get it & use it. I assume the Roland Cloud is the only way to get it?, I know you have to use a DAW software to use it, again I'm a newbie to such things - what do you recommend? (particularly for a newcomer), again I don't mind paying for one if the Free ones are no good. I'm willing to pay a subscription for the Roland Cloud, if you can get your money's worth Thanks again.
Hi Danny, Andrew from Italy here... may I ask you which sound card you use with your vsts? I rely on ASIO run through a Focusrite.. Thanks for your video
I have a mid-2012 MacBook Pro. Upgraded it to 16 gigs of RAM and a SSD with my own hands, but still has original processor. Can play this with no difficulty.
@@nocre2948 thanks mate to be fair I wouldnt recommend any roland cloud repro as they are very CPU intensive but they have got the sounds bang on to the original hardware 👍👍
