I really enjoy using this pedal and feel it’s worth the investment. However tracking is not w/o flaw and more or less prevalent depending on sound. I used the GR55 on Neutral Earth (full album) throughout. On first song- 3 Kings Apart, I wanted a discipline era, K Crimson sound (lead start at 1:54), followed up by Hackett sounding lead (start 2:56). Very happy with the outcome.
Hi Ben, these sounds should all come installed when you pick up the GR-55. If you are looking for more, you can find Artist Patches and more over at the Roland website. Here's a link www.rolandus.com/go/gr-55_artist_patches/
Fantastic video! Just a question: don't you need the GK pickup for this? Cause i had a problem with Boss GM800 cause with it you must use the GK pickup. Thanks in advance!
all those patch sounds good, i have gr55 but can,t get sounds like on your video. all the videos are the same . you don,t show how to get the sound like you have it for it to sound right ?
regards I would like to ask you if the r gr55 can work with an instrument other than the guitar that has a microphone. for example a bandit with a microphone. A bandola is an instrument similar to a banjo or an electrically amplified mandolin.
The Patch list appears to show 4-5 Violin Sounds built -in you can find the patch list under the Manuals and Docs Tab here at AMS - bit.ly/AMS_RolandGR55_yt
Hello Richie Are the effects already installed or do I have to download them Also do you really recommend this particular pedal board against others Thanks I’m new to all this pedal boards
Hi Walter, the GR-55 should be used with a guitar that has the GK-3 or other 13 Pin synth pickup installed. You won't really get as much out of the GR-55 if you do not.
I'm sitting here with mine right now. I had it for years and decided to dig it out again to remind myself that no matter how many hours you put into it, it never sounds good. It's a carrot on a stick..."If I can just tweak this a bit more..." And the tracking, well, I already make my own clams. I don't need this thing's help.
