Going to get one in the next couple months to work in partnership with my Roland TR-6s, Which i highly recommend a TR-6s if anyone is looking at one. I may also get the TR-8s for studio and keep my 6s for travel or when im out in the living room and dont want to fire up all my heavy gear for a simple beat to lay down.
I play electronic percussion and use the J-6 with a KAT DITI. This is saving me a bunch of time, rather then programming chords. Next, hook up some of my sound modules!😊 Great idea machine! Thanks again.
me too, same day from Sweetwater, mine only plays one pattern, not sure if it got zapped by electrostatic on my bed or was faulty. they are sending another
Question for the experts: to record directly to the computer. Do I need to connect to a sound card or directly to the computer and record through Ableton?
@@OneFingerSynth because most people have daw,s wich have chord generators that do somuch more! for instant type of genre chords etc for who cant play chords. so thats thats why i ask what makes this so special ;)
@@OneFingerSynth to be specific, can it strum chords, can you trigger external gear with it. for instant my deepmind has a chords generator but you can also record own chords into it and have fun ways creating unique sounds you normaly wouldnt come up with :)
even so this is just different, I have a DAW but in general this is just better for me, and no particular DAW/software is going to do what this does, so much is integrated that it would require several software products, this will work well past our computers life span and operating system changes.
@@evankeal well thats why im asking haha. is it diffrent and worth the bucks:) from what i hear in this video the chords sound very to the generator in my deepmind:) or in my cubase. wich daw do you use?
