Full demo of the factory scenes in the Roland Juno X, including two of my own. Recorded directly into MacBook Pro via USB output on the Juno X. No post processing.
Honestly I’ve been waiting two years to get a synth for my studio I was very close to getting a Jupiter x but when this came out well I chose it, and those that know why know why. For those that don’t it’s perfectly OK. I’ll just leave it at this, there’s something magical about this synth. I am perfectly aware of the similarities and I’m sure technically we could argue about how they’re identical and how the Jupiter can do just a little bit more a little bit easier but I’m also aware of the differences an those differences, make a difference. 😃
So, it is essentially a ZenCore controller, which can also play and install other ZenCore models... technically speaking, it can't do anything you couldn't do with your computer and Roland Cloud.. but it is the "Juno 106/60" vibe that makes it work.. it is just fun to play honestly.
@@benallen5967 Yeah, it seems that it still can add some "magic dust" to the engine, to get a great sound. Nowadays I listen to a lot of synthwave stations, it would fit perfectly into such set. But now i have enough racks already, lol. Thanks for the impressive demo!
Went in a music store where a juno x and Jupiter x were next to each other, couldn't get on with the Jupiter x, the juno was far more user friendly , may be I need to revisit again and try and get my head round the jupiter
Just based on sound on You Tube this is one of the best sounding poly synths I've heard in a while. Nothing compares to my Pro 3 unfortunately. But this is at least intriguing.
I mainly hear sounds that you can easily find in the Integra... that device will become 4 times more expensive in the future, because people currently have no idea what it can do 😊
Completely different kind of keyboard. The Nord is meant to cover all your keys needs. The Juno X is more like the best of Roland synth wise, with the older expansions thrown in. The Nord allows you to create and import your own samples. The Roland, uses its own database of sounds and provides presets from those. Most of the “sound” of the Juno X is due to it effects. It’s far harder to use than the Nord as well. I would definitely have kept the Juno X if it didn’t seem like it was confused in what it was trying to be. Is it a Fantom lite? Kinda. Is it a TR drum machine? Kinda. Is it like a big Boutique? Kinda. I ended up selling my Juno X and getting a System 8. That knows what it is- it’s a synth, nothing else.
How do you make the drums consistent. Every time I play a melody it only speeds up if I play multiple keys faster. But what if I want the drums to play full while I only play lightly?
You aren't wrong. I don't have mine anymore. You have the advantage of the controls being mostly like the Juno 106/60.. but not all of them are there, and editing the Jupiter encore stuff on here is a nightmare. COMPUTER EDITOR REQUIRED.
Well that's a good point, it's more a synth with a very rudimentary TR style sequencer and that "AI" arpegiator that no one seems to really understand 😂 My point of view is just buy the Fantom 06, get the Juno 106 plug in, which sounds exactly like this. If you really want the very close Juno 106 /60 emulation, get the JU-06A
I'm a huge fan of the Juno 106, owned one which I stupidly sold 10 years ago (will all the voices repaired..). Oddly I just don't find the sound in this one. I'm disappointed because was looking forward eventually purchasing a Juno X.. I have the JU06a which is very very close.. Much more than this. I'm not trying to dislike the Juno X at all. More the contrary.. But it just sounds like a Roland modern synth. I think I'll rather buy a good keyboard controller for the JU-06A and feel much happier. In a sense, even if I just crave for the Juno X classic layout, I'm pretty sure I'll have instant buyers remorse. My JU-06A and a Roland A500 keyboard (less than 300 bucks now) will just do it for me. It seems the ACB modeling is quite different than the ABM and that's what I 'm hearing? I' m going to take a look at the Sequencial Take 5 for my analog poly GAS😂
I own ACB and Juno X, and had all boutiques. There’s literally nothing in it. Remember, these are the factory scenes, designed to show capabilities. Aka drenched in fx. The core sound is there. It’s almost spot on with my OG Juno-60, just not a nice looking or smelly 😅
