I always loved the LFO delay function of the Roland synths like this. It's nice to have a vibrato or VCF modulation that comes in gradually, as opposed to just instantly.
Indeed it can make some acoustic emulations a little more realistic especially as you may not have a spare hand free on a poly synth. Generally really adds to the dynamics.
Wow, wire direct from synth to camera? No compression or normalization pre or post? The sound is great. No wonder these things are $10k a piece. I took a crack at recording synth to video once and it was an out-of-sync mess.
Pernett Media thanks very much. Yes, I recorded life without any outboard at all. It’s just pure Jupiter. But I did use an audio interface, camera only for video.
Device Factor it's really a fantastic synth. Overall much more broad sounding than a P5 and so many possibilities, especially with layering sounds and detune them. In this video everything was only in single mode. The possibilities are much more.
Great machine and I'd really like to have one; However, the prices people ask for them are totally ridiculous: I have seen one in the US for 20.000 dollars :-D Nice try though. THe machine should not go above 4000 usd given it's age, the amount of good plug in clones and the fact that when components break, which is always a risk with such old beauty, you will have troubles finding spare parts.
