Any idea how to setup the arpeggios so that they play independent from each other other multiple keyboard splits? I tried to setup keyboard ranges for each parts, but no matter what I do the arp's do not play independent. Play an arp on one split and it affects the arps on other split. It looks like the arps cannot be separated and are triggered by the entire keyboard, despite the key ranges.
Incredible piece. Exactly my style. Love it. Can you compare with Juno X when it's out? I would really like to know your opinion about these two instruments and what they are better purposed for in your opinion? Since they both use 4 synth parts and 1 drum part model, they should sound the same, don't you think? Thank you so much in advance!
Very nice evolving soundscape as always! Would you consider selling a System 8 for a Jupiter X? I have a System 8 to have that Roland sound covered in my setup, but the Jupiter seems to have so many more possibilities…
A Jam like this would be impossible on System-8 of course, but ACB is still the most advanced VA engine on the planet, I won't be parting with it anytime soon... ;)
@@gattobus I quite agree. I had a conversation with my local Roland Planet representative, in that as much as the X is quite the most brilliant piece of technical equipment Roland have ever made (it can do just about anything) the System 8 still sounds better. In my opinion, Roland needed only to make a new system 8, with 61 premium feel keys, a bi timbrel capacity, and you would have possibly the best synthesiser in the world
In my humble opinion, having both the System8 and a Jupiter Xm, they are really different beast, and if you discount the small differences in sounds, the system8 is a synth before anything else and the panel do reflet that, the X/Xm is way more complex to make a sounds where the S8 have nearly everything at hand. It really depends on what you do/use but if you do your own patch/sounds, the S8 superior to the X/Xm by its ease of use.
In the grand scheme of things 99.9999% of the human population could not tell the difference between the two synths in a track's final mix. Choosing the one that works for you is the most important part.
Would you recommend this as a first synth? I’m debating between this a prophet 6 or prophet 12. I like this synth it’s just a little to clean to me.. is it an all digital synth ?
