Been working for 4 hrs at getting the JD800 expansion pack installed. First, updated the firmware to 2.0 (first download from the website was corrupt). Next, had to install Roland Cloud Manager on PC. Purchased the expansion pack but cannot download directly. Have to install Zenology Pro apparently to get access to the expansion pack. Zenology download is currently frozen at 53%. Holy shit! What do I have to do next? Hello Roland! You people need to get a f#&$ing wake up call. It’s almost 2022, not 1990. Am I going to need AOL dial-up service to complete the install?

Would be good can expand direct from pc via usb to hardware instead using thumbdrive.

Cool- but why cant the installation and store process be integrated into the Jupiter X editor directly? Arturia does that with their stuff in Analog Lab

I always get an "incorrect file!" error

puuuuh .... single tones in the SOUND subfolder, Banks in the root, importing thru the menu, importing with special key on power on ... man that's 80ties technology but thank you to explain it!

With the latest firmware update 1.30 many options have been added to the Jupiter X system menu. Can I have a step by step tutorial on how to sync the arpeggio to logic? Where is the documentation online?

wow really old school this way of working. I have a USB connection with my computer so why use still a USB drive (who still has these?). Roland you are in business for many many years but it seems that you do not incorporate new technology into the user interface and workflow. The menu buttons (without push function that every one dollar synth got) the little screen. It like back in the DOS days.

Ive followed this tutorial line by line, word for word, and still my JupX says expansion cant be found. It shouldnt be this complicated ROLAND.

That's so stupid and rudimentary. C'mon Roland! You should make a software editor in sync with the PC/Mac via USB as the othe manufacturers do! I am so dissapointed...

How about showing us how to EXPORT individual tones? No, wait, the JP-X still can't do that...

Great tutorial presented here but come on Roland - this entire process is uninspiring & 'painful' & defo not about 'making music' quite the contrary you are making things harder not easier ~ I was ready to write but now switched it off .. ROLAND Its Two Thousand & Twenty ???!!!! ..Get with it ..come on ... !!

So mad about this. You spend $2500 on a hardware synth, then you have to rebuy the "software" synths to edit on Zenology. DO NOT BUY THIS SYNTH.
