Good video. I can't wait to get mine! I agree with the ending sentiments that this will fulfill a lot of needs for a lot of people. I plan on recording full songs as well as what I'm gonna call karaoke tracks. Some may be covers, but I also want to do full backing tracks for original songs with the drums, bass, instrumentation and backing vocals.

Thanks for the video! Very helpful, but I have a question. I’m new to this device and I cannot figure out how to pick which tracks play in a section. For example, if I have a piano on the KICK track and a synth pad on the SNARE track, how do I get just the piano to play on section 1 and both the piano and synth pad to play simultaneously on section 2? I tried muting the SNARE track on section 1, but now it’s muted on both sections 1 & 2. Am I missing something here? Thanks, Josh

The mutes are global and not on a per track basis (hopefully in an update) but the work around I use is to press on copy and either copy entire tracks and clear the clips I'm not using for that section or copying individual clips. It's more steps than I would like but it gets the job done.

Question: when changing pattern mesurses , (lets say to 4) i don't see an indicator anywhere. How will I know when I'm nearing the end of the 4th mesure? Is it only by listening? Thanks in advance

Hi, Ian! Thanks for your interest. There are four lights near the bottom left of the MV-1's surface, in between the start/stop button and the measure [] buttons. Hi, Can i add external song..for exemple, enter song at my korg krome or drums's or m'y drumbrute or i Can only use songs of that verselab and of zencore. Because I'm singer and composer and i want to know if i buy it IS not to limited or if it's better try with mpc or maschine for an using during longtime???

Use a daw, these machines are designed for crafting beats within the box, not for you to produce a whole album with a bunch of external instruments

An 8 channel recording mixer, a sampler, 3,000 sounds, a 128 long steps sequencer, lots of effects etc. ....... but can you end up with 24 bits...???? I did not understand this sound quality part of the manual.

Do you hate editing sample start and end points on the MV1. Even holding shift it takes forever to me. The sp404. Or MV 8000 is faster

This unit has a very small screen and no WiFi capability nor any visual sampling capabilities , i guess I’m so accustomed to my AKAI Mpc products.

Almost nailed it Roland... But that tiny screen that you guys put on all your boxes sucks bad. Menu diving in a dark room with a tiny screen doesn't work. No thanks.

Wait, so if you want to sample you can't have vocals as well? I was hoping this would be something to replace my SP-404SX but it seems to have tons of limitations as well.

I've seen one European sampler's work on it. There's a video (boombapartist, I believe). What he did sounded really good. He did then bring the result into the SP404. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0VjGnKRuUPg.html

Nah. that's an error in the video. You can have both samples and vocals, they just use the same partition of memory...up to 12 minutes mono total. You can even internally resample and move vocal takes to sample pads and vice-versa.
