@@bleepsandboops I forgot to say - I love the prefaderlevel reverb send into fading in the panned lead synth. Very AE but I rarely see it this well executed.

Weirdly the send thing is a byproduct of that desk.. the only send it has is always pre-fader, since it's designed more for headphone mixes I think, rather than proper aux stuff. Would be nice if they had a way to switch it post fader on individual channels, but then that would add to the cost etc... 😬
I remember back in the day watching Sebastian Vogel performing some bleepy techno set with just an R8, a 303 and some pedals. Glad to see the machine alive and used in a more experimental way (didn't knew the R8 snare was a thing). Guess the kids in love with the synthwave sound love the basic "kinda Linndrum" vibes but that box was all 90s for me, and I'm in my middle fourties. Great braindance beats, mate. This is the way!!!
Thanks! Yeah, it's a great bit of kit, and those pitch wrangled samples do it in a way that's totally different to (say) an Elektron or something in Live... I've got a Behringer 303 so might have to bring it in to the next video somehow 👍

Neve 8816. It's a summing mixer, so doesn't have built-in eqs, groups and multiple auxes etc, but I got it years ago and use it mostly for when I'm doing hybrid mixing in ProTools
😂 I'm lucky to have it tbh, bought it used many years ago when summing mixers were all the rage, but they've gone up in value again recently... Might have to do a walk-through of the studio though. Nerds gonna nerd 🤓🎹
