This is really the best tutorial ever. Quick, Clean, Clear and Complete. Without this it would be so difficult to learn the SE-02 with the standard manual. 1000 times thanks.
@@ConstantineMusicComposer yes I agree, your videos show the capabilities of the synth much better than the manual or manufacturer’s videos. Some of the capabilities are surprisingly good as is the work flow and implementation. Massive sounding synth in a tiny package which is appreciated when desktop real estate is at a premium. I will also mention that I have found the Keystep a better match than the Roland K-25m.
@@MrTHounsell true, I was pleasantly surprised with its capabilities, given its size. And I agree about the keyboard. The k-25 is good if you want to mess around with the synth a bit, but it lacks the octave change and mod-wheel. I definitely prefer the keystep as well. Funilly enough, their price difference is not that great.

Great video very helpful! I have a question though, when you save your sequence, does it replace one of the 128 slots available? Also, does the patch that you use get saved along with the sequence? Hope that makes sense thanks!
Thank you! It won't replace the factory sequences and patches. It saves it in the user bank. So any changes you make on any of the presets, when you save it, it will be saved in the bank that is available for you. The original stock sequence will still be there for you anytime! As for the patch, it will also have to be saved in the user preset bank as well. So if you want to use that with a specific sequence, you have to go to the patch mode, select that patch, and then switch to sequence mode in order to use it. You will have to save both individually. You can't save them at the same time.
Yes. When you adjust the gate (how long the note will be), you can go all the way up to a value of 100. When you go above 100, then it's a tie and it's a smoother connection between the notes. You can tie them together and multiple steps will sound like one longer note.
