Another video showing that the TR-8 does just fine (the criticism is unjust). I especially like your MS-20 programming, and that you're using the Monotron Delay for effects; it creates grain and a nice feeling of dirt. Good use of minimal beats and space, too.
the tr8 is more than just fine, it's the best drum machine for anywhere close to the price it's offered at. Nothing that's not at least twice the price will compare and honestly what more do you really need. What the AIRA range realized is that it's all about the control surface, the tb3 is way better than the 303 in terms of controls but I hate touch keyboards....
I absolutely adore all your videos! With so much gear, I often wonder how you syn everything with MIDI - do you have a preferred 'routing' at all? I own a Volca Beats & MS20, as well as a MicroKorg and I have a few other bits and pieces such as the SQ1 on the way and would ideally be making something very similar to this. Thanks in advance!
Tom Cassidy thanks a lot. I generally use the TR8 as master mini clock., and then just connect thru to the other devices with a small thru box.. thats it, no special routing really. cheers!

Absolutely creased when I saw you have a Boss metal zone in that setup!!!! Is it on? absolutely No negative criticism whatsoever from here by the way. Its just mainly the ammount of crap it gets from the guitar community thats all! Amazed to see it in a synthesis setup!

Awesome as always man. great start with the bass line from the volca bass. all your sessions have this unique "mood" , thanks for the incredible fx from the T-Resonator, and the great use of cutoff knobs. In particular, I like so much when the frequencies go to middle/high range ,with delay effect. The "add value" of your performances is the fact , despite the 15 mins, that they are so fresh, interesting, never boring. I rarely use my Monotron Delay in my performances, 'cause it is soooo noisy! Lot of white noises in the backrground, when it is "on" in stand by....

LMAO I love this!! 4 Volca machines AND TR-8. What did you think of the Elektron RYTM? I feel like you'd do well with its Sampling capability and sequencer. (Not that I think you'd need it, you're already killing it with just these.) But the appeal I had with the RYTM was that using it feels like using a 90's tracker, with its one sample at a time, per channel, sort of sequencing. And your music is 100% reminiscent of that era.
Haha :D - Well i have not really tried the RYTM yet, only seen youtube vids so its hard to get a good picture of what type of use i could have of that machine. I need a sampling device though... but the RYTM is just a sample player and analogue drum machine.. but to its advantage it sounds pretty damn good. On tracking, true this is basically how I do things, so probably a good fit for me... but the price still throws me off a bit :) cheers
.Just got my aira...sounds much better when processed thru microkorg or other effects orsynth . Seems to take "hollow" digital wave to better place. Sometimes use tube preamp just to beef up a sound. Fun Fun Fun !

haha no problem, I also discussed with a friend which one to buy next, Sampler, Minibrute or MS, he also said MS fits best. And it's like you said, an awesome machine because of its many big knobs, the unique filter section and the patch ability! and the wonderful hold button, for handsfree tweaking which you also used in of the vids I saw.

bilal k the volca keys has no audio in, eg delay in that one cannot be used externally. The monotron delay has audio in to allow external processing, so just connected it from the s20 on audio out/audio in on the monotron. cheers!
hey man nice job there/ just a far-fetched question here; if you could feed me with some of your knowledge.. should i get the Korg MS-20 mini or System 1 (for acid and cavernous (square wave)/ robot-like/ spine rattling sounds..) Someone Please, do you have any proper advice to offer?
thanks man! on system-1, i have no idea, as iirc it has net even been released yet so had no opportunity to try it out. ms-20 mini is however great as a stepping stone into analogue synthesis and modulars if this is what you are interested in. cheers!
I'm quite new to electronic music and I wonder how I should connect those synths with each other ...how many line ins should I havefor my audiointerface ?
Use midi for clock and note info. The for audio each synth its either 1 mono or 2 stereo line out.. so my recommendation would be to get a mixer of some sort as input channels are cheaper on a mixer than on an audio interface. cheers
Thanks, i will consider the diagram part! :) in short, volcas summed up in mx400, jomox on the keys, es-2 on one of the bass, then mx400 into the G3, which feeds stereo in TR-8, from TR-8 to kaoss pad then 2-track recording

I already own a volca beats, volca bass, korg monotribe and korg electribe sx1....but the analog frenzy isn't going to stop :)

If i could use this tune/jam/music..in a video..containing odd light photos my friend have as a hobby to take. I use to help her putting them all together in a video to put on RU-vid..in short..a collection of photos put togethet to a video..and i would like to use this jam as background music..if it's ok i mean :-) Btw..she uses only a cellphone camera. iguisard thanks a lot! :) I have used both the 808 and 909 previously, and to be really honest I think the TR-8 is better.. sound better, is easier to use and has more flexibilities. Only drawback is that its really ugly... but hey, that has no impact on the sound :) cheers and peace!!
