Here's some info about the player :) His name is Keiki Uto, he plays piano/keyboard/synth for a famous anime song maker group called "Honeyworks" in japan :D
Dammit, is there a possibility to buy this Roland including the skills of Keiki? I feel this instrument would be kinda wasted in my hands xD But I still totally want it! :D
Whoa! This is one of the best demos I have ever seen. That guy is killing it big time. Pop, Prog, Dance, Trance, Classical, Blues and Jazz(?) !! And getting the absolute most out of what is probably an average mid to lower range board. The VR-09 is decent but this guy is making it sound like a monster board lol. Outstanding and presented with well learned skills of playing and programming. Kudos!
@@officialWWM It occupies a niche. I love mine, but my needs are simple, I don’t find it onerous to play within the limits of the board, and the higher price for a more capable board (most likely the Nord Electro) isn’t worth it to me. As the video demonstrates there are plenty of good sounds in the thing.
Amazing amazing review.... God has gifted us with wonderful super players around the world...Worth watching the video with a astounding player like this.... Piano is awesome but the way that is reviewed is just just just amazing!!!!!! ........ Hats off to the paino player... World seriously needs these kinds of versatile and musically embedded players...... Made my day...!!!!!!!! Will surely follow this guy!!!!!
I keep coming back to this for inspiration. I have the VR-730 version of this keyboard. Incredible versatility and sound. Now, hopefully someday I'll be able to play like this 😔
I bought it specifically for its organ simulator - Very good. I used to drag around a Hammond Porta-B and a 147 cabinet to gigs, and while it is not the same (nothing is really), I find the VR-09 does a better job than the Crumar Mojo - I had one of those for a few weeks.
Reply to a comment ‘- there is now ‘ a 76 keys version of board - the “ Vr 7/09 B” jus for those who did/ not ‘ know ‘ , -cheers . P’s -Nice Demo & Flying Fingers ! .
I’ve got a question regarding a piano preset tone shared between both the VR-09 and 09B called “SA Piano”. To my ear, it is synonymous with the sound of the “Piano 3” preset on the MKS-20 module and RD-1000 digital piano from 1987. Is there an individual that can give me the goods about this present and how close I am to the mark?
Is is possible to create songs on the VR-09 (say a 4 minute long song with an Electric Piano, a string section and some drums) and have each of those parts saved as .Wav stems? So this way, you could just drag-and-drop the stems into a DAW for further mixing, as opposed to audio recording each part for the duration of your song?
Hi, can I connect a master keyboard (midi) and play the Piano of the VR9 and, at the same time, play the organ with the VR9? Or is it one or the other?
@@jumpstar9000 if your on a budget its great and it still holds up and has a bit of charm to it, one thing i would have told my past self is to chuck a blanket on top of it after use so the dust doesn't muck up the keyboard in the following years i got a hammond sk2 with a lesslie 2120 system and a korg kronos x i would love to get the new obrhime synth from beringer they brought out but i dont need it tbh
a video on the midi controls on the vr-09 seem very confusing? when attached to the roland integra 7, and or using the sounds via a mac mini connected via usb, i can't get any sounds
I don't a co m outer but does ke6board have those wonderful organ sounds for jazz and stuff like Kansas Carry on and Boston foreplay long time and Booker t.jones Green onions!!!!???
The VR-09b was released a few years after - I purchased it in 2019 and have not regretted it. It's a fantastic performance synth at a great price. Incredibly flexible with (in my view) a great set of presets. The synth editor adds extra value too.
