Here's my favourite bits of sound design from my recent Roland stream. Exploring the XV2020 & MC307, or any JV/XV based instrument, is always full of surprises!
The Roland JV and XV soundset still stands up so well today. I am amazed by the MC505 sounds. Those engineers sure knew what they were doing back then with their 8MB Rom.
Hi! Thanks. On the MC307 I just used the onboard controls as it has a quite nice screen, it’s not bad! But on the XV2020, an editor is needed, and it takes a bit of a hack to make it work with windows 10 :)
@@magicalsynthadventure3216 Cool stuff. Make sure you load up 'Syncron' on the disc and listen to that sync and 16 channels in unison in action! I will never forget first time I heard it - it still blows my mind. It's a very unique synth....quite Casio CZish
