No it can be done from anywhere but it should be a full time 4.5 years degree as there are diploma courses also which are going on so do not take admission in such course
DPT is Diploma in Physiotherapy . Its 2 years Diploma course and BPT is bachelor in Physiotherapy wich is 4.5 years degree course . Now it's depend on you wich course you want .

Doctoral degree (Dr/Phd) is different from medic, and hence medical doctor (MD) - or what most people call Dr. , by mistake. You are a medic if you graduated a medical school / college, to be a medical doctor you need a doctoral degree too. After that you can call yourself a medical doctor (MD). In the case of other science fields you can be a doctor too (Phd = Doctor of philosophy in X subject) after you have graduated (BS), completed a masters (Msc) and done your doctoral degree (Phd). People confuse Dr/Phd with MD because of cultural norms . Phd/MD/Psy D. (or simply doctor in x subject) means that you gained enough theoretical knowledge in the field to produce/discover something new and are recognized as an authority in that subject. So, in short, yes, a physio graduate who took it's doctoral degree (Phd) can be called a doctor, but NOT an MD (medical doctor).
