I also feel the potential client will also need to see a photo of the counsellor as from those I know have said some potential clients felt they did not resonate with the look of a counsellor - and that is fine too. If someones face looks uninviting and harsh i would not go too. !!
What does supervision look like? In this video, Philip Armstrong (Clinical Director of the Clinical Counselling Centre and CEO of the Australian Counselling Association) and Catherine Dodemont (Registered Supervisor and Level 4 Member of the Australian Counselling Association) demonstrate (through a role-play) a counselling supervision session: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9UAnXNQYvYU.html
Im confused! Is this an example of good clinical supervision? I thought it was going to be an example of poor supervision and later show a good example.
It's very poor. Perhaps uts a example of the fact that a supervisor can hit supervision competencies whilst being a poor supervisor. This is an excuse for self promotion and trying to hammer someone into the same shape as oneself.
Thanks, guys! It seemed poor to me too. What are your thoughts on him keeping on coming back to the marketing brochure? I thought that was decidedly non-clinical and also off when he told her he was qualified to advise on marketing???
