Roles Explained | Fleet Building in Azur Lane 

I'm so glad I have all the recommended ships on all my fleets. Of course, Chicago and Bogue are the only exceptions. It's always bring your wife and daughter to work day for me.

The question is tough one for me. I say carriers because they help me get through chapter 12 clear and help me unlock chapter 13. One thing I love about battleships is that I love to aim at the enemy, see the chibi form fire that salvo, and watch it land at the enemy when it does not miss.

This video really helps as I am mega dumb brain when it comes to fleet comp. On a side related note, I'm also the same dumb when it comes to TCGs. Thank you for the helpful info!

Nice guide, thank you! I use 2/1 carrier/battleship main fleets. I have way better gacha luck with carriers, and the carrier wifu are real strong. I really don’t have enough fleets to use all the boats I like. It’s a constant struggle.

I recommend adding Belfast to any fleet. She's probably one of the most versatile ship in the game.

Battleships since I like seeing those big crits from ships like New Jersey or Warspite. They've also helped immensely against the cheesy mafia fleets in PvP.

Should you be using Abercrombie, remember to put her on the bottom as her barrage from her skill will always be upward of her position.

Hyuuga and Ise are excellent BBVs, specially Hyuuga for the 15% Main fleet damage buff and high fire power, and Ise's airstrikes are one of the best of all BBVs and she has high fire power like her sister, and they're the best drunks.

I should point out that another Damage layout that works is a full Submarine fleet when you can get it. Nothing like 3 U-chans all activating Wolfpack Tactics when they appear and then watching a wave of torpedoes sweep into the enemy mob formation. For boss battles choose 3 Union subs with anti-boss skills and watch them pull a Taihou Death Prank.

Repair ships are technically healer ships but they're bad at healing. Mediocre at best. Unicorn and Shouhou are actually better options if your fleet needs heal. I never include them for heal but I personally love their mechanic and *I wish AL had more repair ships. I like how subtle but important they are.* They provide top tier AA, more ammo, and 3 emergency repairs. It makes them really valuable in w11 onwards where the mob fleet's ability to take as much mob ships as possible is crucial.

Actually I started playing Azur lane because of certain posts by naval history RU-vidrs and anime enthusiasts. I myself love the genre of anime and manga. And obtained both the anime and Manga of Azur lane. Great video. But having relatives that served in the Navy. I'm going to position the ship girls like their real life counterparts are position. Especially in world war 2. Destroyers and cruisers as a screen or upfront. A huge battleship or carrier at the center which is the flagship. With either smaller battleships or a battle cruisers flanking the flagship. Trust me it works. All the navies of the world use that formula. Great video ❤

Carriers deal damage in a big area, while battleships deal more damage but in a much smaller area.

Thanks for this! I just recently started the game and although I have over leveled my ships the highest being level 82, they are struggling at 7-1. Didn't know what I was doing wrong and thought that the power scaling of enemies is a bit skewed. I don't have Unicorn yet so right now I am using Shouhou.

Boss fleets are basically glass for me, 3 dds, 3 cvs, clear up the the thing before boss with torpedoes and insane _dodge_ and then do the *_PFPPFLFPFPFPPRPTFPTPFPTPFPPFTPFPPTPFPTPFPTPFPTPFPPTPTPFPFPTPTPFPFPTPGPPTPFPFPGPTPPFPFPFPFFPPFPFPFPFPFFFFFF_* with rng blessed Q.Takeoffs.

Tell me that fleet from 0:06 is just a joke, right? Is it a joke? How Hood is top ? Her barrage is working only when she's Flagship. Queen Elizabeth don't need to be flagship. Akashi....meh,...ok. Javelin as support in vanguard, never as main tank. Instead her put Prinz Eugen , because she has defence skill as shield, she's tanky, a lot hp. Baltimore is in good position. If this fleet is a joke, don't put joke to the fleet building video. This fleet is a joke, uneffective, weird in composition. I'm sorry if I misunderstood sth, but really... Whole video is ok, I agree. For new players it's good video at start, but fleet from 0:06 is a joke.
