I mean polishing is something that you'd inevitable have to learn in watchsmithing even as a hobbyist to you know get rid of scratches and stuff. This just has a new step of adding more material to the big dents and scratches.
If it was a Vostok Amphibia you could clean the dirt off by sticking it in the dishwasher, polish the crystal good as new with Brasso and leave the metal scratches because that's patina😁 You are able to regulate it yourself and it won't need servicing for at least 10 years.
