Saw him today in Leeds signing autographs. He is a very nice person. His paintings are fabulous. He is a guy that has brought so much pleasure to so many people.
I lost a dear friend in Roy Castle a few years back. We lost Sir Patrick Moore today. Savour Rolf Harris whilst he is still with us. You don't know what you have, until you lose it.
I know people are probably going to hate me for saying something NICE about Rolf Harris but... the way he plays the piano in that song is amazing! And I just couldn't help but laugh all the way from 6:12 - 9:15. "Almost before neighbours started" I just cracked up! He's just such an inspiration to me; I immediately brought myself a wobble board and starting learning the piano, I only wish I could be as entertaining as him -- till this day I still wish to meet him, it was my one dream in life.
Thanks Huw! The whole ordeal happening with Rolf has been a grey area for me; since the beginning I've never doubted his innocence, but in saying that I don't want to call the 'victims' liars -- I just don't want to believe that people are capable of framing such a beautiful person, who I looked up to ever since I was little. Til this day I still want to meet him; now I see that I'll probably never get the chance.
His 'guilty' verdict has corroded all my childhood memories and my long term admiration for such a highly gifted all-round entertainer. What an unforeseen, surreal ending of a glittering career and much loved artist. I've such mixed emotions and so wish this was not true. Deep sigh.......

Rolf Harris was a remarkable talent who could really motivate people of all ages to laugh and sing. Now we'll never see or hear him again because his sexual libertinism with little girls over the years got the best of him and got him behind bars. Rolfie, we hardly knew ye.
so so so endearing! how can anyone not be fascinated by this man. He's just so lovely and interesting, and you can see his big heart in everything he does.
I never knew he could play the Piano. I am angry and sad at the things he did but grew up listening to his songs, plus he was a great entertainer, despite that we now know the real Harris....I think push the bad and negative away and look at the man who played the piano, sang, wrote his own songs, played the digaridoo, could draw and art work, his humour...These are all the things I'd rather remember him for not the Jackel and Hyde side. Just the Rolf who entertained people and made them laugh.
From 2:50 - 3:20 don't suppose if anybody knows if there's a piano music sheet for that song, I would love to learn how to play it; or for the version of the 'Old Music Master'?
@lauriello1 The first is a great piece of 12-bar blues (might just be off the top of his head) - the second I've not heard before - THAT may be his too. I can't find it in his discography. Maybe someone knows more? Rolf is a genius. 81 and still going. Good on you, Rolf!

Genius! Visual comedy, spoken comedy, funny lyrics, plays piano almost like Chico Marx or maybe Victor Borge. And a lesson in didgeridoo playing, which he turns into comedy as well. Incredibly skilled man! Pity that the sound is out of synch.
Bloody hell. I still cannot come to terms with what's happened regarding Rolf. My only hope is that he's treated kindly in prison. I'm not condoning anything he has been convicted of, I just feel the man needs help. I wonder what happened to him when he was a kid? He was so very talented. :(:(
Whaaat ? Fuck him we've all had bad things happen to us but it doesn't mean we use our position of trust to mess with kids. He stole their innocence as well as their ability to trust others. Also he could have saved them a lot of pain by pleading guilty and copping it sweet but his refusal to admit fault meant that they had to go through it all again. He had it coming especially after the way he butchered "Stairway to Heaven".
It's hard. You're in denial. (Or at least you were. Maybe you're over it now.) Fame and talent are powerful. He knew that and used that fact. It makes you wonder if maybe someone who isn't famous and isn't very talented might actually be a better person.
So sickening, having been a witness in court for someone guilty of road offences, who lied through the skin of his teeth, I knew Rolf was when lied :(
The women who have accused him of these crimes, made them up for their own selfish agenda, they were jealous of his fame and fortune, so they framed him by inventing those false accusations against him., this is an injustice for an innocent man who has gone to jail based on lies, I would trust him with my children, long live Rolf Harris, and my he continue to entertain us

+Ade Makalow no? Yeah we was a great entertainer but that doesn't forgive the fact that he sexually abused a minor, it's in forgivable, that's like saying Jimmy saville was innocent because he was an entertainer?
