I appreciate this. I'm a little concerned because in the video it says to have 3x the length of the shutter and when I picked up a new strap I was told it should be 2x the length and that is what they gave me. I want to make sure that is going to be ok.
Thanks for sharing your clear & useful "How To" video. I watched it a few times before and while I changed my tape/strap successfully. You are pretty awesome! P.S. Some other commenter asked how much tape do you need and do you need 3x the length of the window? My experience is that with more, you can always cut/remove, with not enough, yikes, you will need to buy a longer tape/strap. Maybe 2.6x (or 2.5) plus a few inches below the window is enough, but having a few inches extra of tape gave me "peace of mind" so I ended up going with 3x "just in case", next time, for my own setup, I may buy a few less inches since I know exactly how much extra with my window. I hope these words help others. P.P.S. The thing is the extra tape is that you have the "extra tape" wrapping around a) the screw and b) the hook holding the tape, so a bit of extra tape as security holding/wrapping around the "weak" points so they won't come undone easily is how I see it. Thanks again to the poster of the video as I learned some great insights from you to change my own tape.
