A great example of the dozens of small little roll-off companies that roam the streets of LA. First is Frank's Disposal hauling away a bin full of concrete, and then is Villanueva Recycling with a cool older Volvo roll-off.
Personally I drop that boom as soon as I can, take some pressure off that cable and let it roll on the rollers. These guys pulling that bin on right to the top with the boom up, you’re wanting that cable to snap.. I haul nothing but metal so I have some pretty heavy bins. Be safe guys.
I do roll off and we have to roll under every can to prevent asphalt from getting damaged. Plus I was told not to roll up can while boom was fully seated because it damaged locking mechanism
Not one of these drivers used safe loading and un loading procedures. Did you see anyone get out of the truck and look before backing? Blowing the horn or any kind of signal that he was backing other than the beeper that can be confusing on a construction site which didn't work when the hoist was up by the way or how about all the people be kind the container while he was lifting the box? What happens when the cable breaks? And when the cable breaks where is it going to go? That's right straight through the rear window where your driver is looking. Didn't you parents tell you never to look down the barrel of a gun. Yeah great video on what not to do.
Some roll off like mine has clamps that lock the bin on as soon as you turn the PTO off and release when turning the PTO on. My truck doesn’t have tie downs.
