I pulled a hopper for years. Titan out of Levelland Texas and then Skyview out of Gothenburg Nebraska. Loved it as long as I was out west. Hated it when I was on the east coast. Got out of hoppers and went to Frac sand for a few years. Got a divorce and let my CDL go. Went to get my CDL back earlier this year only to find out they expect me to go to school to do something I’ve got 25 years experience doing. I still drive a truck during harvest in my home state where a CDL isn’t required. I miss the road a lot, especially the mountain states.

I rubbed a hole in a fuel line last fall with a load of calves on and got limped into the Coffee Cup. Grayson seen me and came over to chat. Then realizing I was in a bind he went into the store and spent his own money on some supplies he felt might help me! That young man has a heart of gold and is always worklng hard! Of course everytime we chat he just wants to talk about Jaxon! 🤣

Hey Jacs I've never commented on any youtube videos before had to call my son and ask him how I just wanted to say thank you you put a 52year old man into his 10-11 yr old body in his dad's GMC ASTRO for one of his best summer vacations that he completely forgot about long haul trucking back and forth from Canada to the U.S. Also I just spent an hour on the phone describing it to my son sorry for rambling just THANKS Jimmy (son of a almost forgotten long haul trucker)

Yes! More trucking trips! We do a fair amount of recreational long distance driving. Of course one sees the truckers on the road hauling... Often have wondered where, what, how... Now I know more! The country would come to a grinding halt if it weren't for amazing people like you moving everything we need. Absolutely priceless finish. HOME!

I so enjoyed the trip across the most beautiful country there is. I hope you'll take us along again, I had tears but they were happy tears. Hey Jax...I found ONE TON last years 1st cut grass hay /110# 3 tie bales.. (75 mile round trip from home & $400/ton .. Gulp😵‍💫😵‍💫) Elderly farmer couldn't help load it, but I got 'er done!!! Took me a bit longer than it did when I was younger, but it's done... Now looking for more to get me to this year's first cut which is probably July ... Aaaarrrggghh... Wow! We nearly crossed paths last weekend! I unloaded in Three Rivers, Michigan Sunday afternoon, then (passed through School Craft) and spent the night in Kalamazoo. Then back down to Three Rivers Monday morning for my load back to Pharr Texas. Got back in to Little Rock this morning and I'm home for two weeks.

Ahhh Jax this video really made me miss trucking! My husband and I trucked together and I have to say I handle the hours better than he did. They put shredded paper in pet food? That’s disgusting!! I watched them make notebook paper in Wisconsin and they put some pretty nasty chemicals in the wood pulp to break it down. The idea of pets eating shredded paper is reprehensible. I feel like pet food companies just use it as a cheap filler. Thank you for taking us along for the ride! Brought back so many memories! We trucked the 48 states, Canada 🇨🇦, and Mexico 🇲🇽! The 2nd time we went into Mexico I said I’d quit and stay home before I ever took a semi down there again!! Stay safe out there! There’s some crazies out there in this day and age! My daddy used to man a free coffee station at a rest stop. When fellows like you showed up, he'd bring 'em home for a shower, clean laundry and for mom to feed 'em up. One of the other coffee guys kept an eye on the trucks. (Cuz around holidays he'd come home with a carload.) Had fellows show up from several states to say their final goodbyes when the folks were put to rest.

Thanx Jax for letting this old trucker ride along. I'm gonna make it out there on my Harley one day if the Lord let's me live. I appreciate the effort it takes to bring us along. Truckem safe, God bless you brother.

Soooo I just got back from WA (loved it so much I'm going back again in 3 months but that's another story 😄) and I know how a lot of people are commenting that talking to strangers doesn't happen much anymore these days, but I'm still IN AWE with how extremely friendly and open the people always are in the US! Like...I was constantly talking to people on the street, in stores, restaurants, bars...you name it! I've always loved the US cause of that. Makes me wonder why the Europeans are always so grumpy (I hadn't talked to random strangers in literally YEARS!). It was a true delight and I can't wait to get back! Then I also thought I'd love to do a big roadtrip at some point and see as many States as possible, so I guess in a way you're living my dream 😄 No but all jokes aside, I really respect your dedication. The life on the road is tough man, and yet you're always smiling, making the best of the situation. Gotta admire that big time! 👏

Thanks for showing The Gorge! One of my favorite places in the world! I'm originally from the PNW but haven't been home since I retired.

Sometimes that works but sometimes it doesn't either. Seems like shredded paper wouldn't weight all that much, now if it were compressed into bales ya. I used to haul rolls and paper and it was really heavy. I used to stay out three to four months at a time. Once I stayed out 6 months when my wife was on the truck with me. You think it is tight, you need to do some trucking over in Main and on the east coast when cities were made for horse and buggies to get around in and try it with a long wheelbase tractor and 45' spread axle trailer; now you know why we have dump valves on our axles so we can help get around in tight places. East coast is real tight. With lots of low bridges too. Yep I ran hwy 12 before into Nanches and into Yakima at hwy 82. The wife is a cutie for sure.

Last Nov I did some cross country driving and I wrote a note to myself to find out how grain elevators work, now I'm learning. Your videos are scenic, entertaining and informative.

Jax, dude I love your channel so much! It brings up so many wonderful memories of traveling across the United States and Canadia with my Dad, who was a long distance truck driver. He drove from the time he graduated high school in I think 1966 until around 1990, when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis from being sprayed with agent orange in Vietnam when he got drafted. He passed away in April of 2020, 4 days after my 46th birthday but he would have loved your channel too! The road never left his heart! Right before he passed away he wrote a book about his life and truck driving. If I ever get the chance I would love to give you a copy! Also, if you need feed for your cows, let me know. I may be able to help you out!
