Roll steer is the undesirable changes in steering angle of steered wheels during the rolling action of vehicle body at time of fast cornering or Road irregularities. Roll steer is the error caused due to improper length ,angle of tie rod and due to bad suspension geometry.

thanks for sharing , it's would be very useful for Passenger vehicle . How does it applicable commercial vehicle where solid axle, leaf springs and Pittman arm drag link type steering system is used ? Could you please make some video on this as well it would be useful 😊

You're welcome! Roll center more depends on the type of Suspension geometry as compared to type of Steering geometry. The rules are same for all the suspension geometries. You just have to find the instantaneous center of suspension linkages and you are good to go! Still stay tuned soon , i will be covering all the types of suspension geometries and i am sure that will clear all your doubts.

Sir.. please make a separate video on anti dive and anti squat.. Also on important point to keep in mind while designing the geometry of double wishbones and semi trailing arm for Baja vehicles.

Hi, if the roll center was aligned with the gravity center of the car (y=0) would you still need an anti roll bar? Thanks and superb content!

Aligning roll center with center of gravity will cause jacking force to act. It should not be done

hi could you please do a diagram of how to set up handle bar steering via shaft to two front wheels ..does the length of arm that is attached to kin pin make any difference to roll steer ..ive built reverse harley trike so one back wheel two front..i have set ic but trike seems to wallow am i missing something ..im using trailing arms and have fitted sway bar..send email and ill send pic if you can help be very grateful
