Rolled Jeep On The Mountain

Trailmater Offroad Recovery

Here is the video of the rolled jeep on the mountain. We went up and got everything in place, then began swapping front suspension parts that were damaged in the rollover. Once that was done we rolled it onto its wheels. We planned on swapping the tire before bringing it up the hill but we didn't have the right lugnut socket. After the last time of not having that tool we put some of the most common lugnut lock tools on the wrecker. Unfortunately none of those fit, so we decide to pull it with a flat. Thank you for watching and the second part will be up very soon.

When you're heading to an area called 'Bear Park'... And it's the end of hibernation season... Yes I took my pistol. Haha.

Was wondering about bell tails..didnt even think about bears. But we hunt in an area of south Georgia full of them so mostly leave them be and they do the same.

Yes. I now have a black bear on my property, in Oct. he looked to be a 2 year old, a 3 year old now. The dog has told him off a few times, I've seen him twice, and got 3 vid clips of him, 2 on a trail camera, once with the hand held camera. If he leaves the dog alone all should be fine, but I've carried my pistol once after I saw the bear at 5:13am in the daylight and I was out there a couple hours later..

@@tdwz1652 I'd have to get a hunting license, haven't had one in LOTS of years, and have to wait until fall. Never got a bear, probably wouldn't know how to dress it out. lol But my neighbor would, he's older than me and hasn't hunted in a couple/few years. The game dept knows it's there because in Oct. I asked if they could transport it elsewhere before it became a problem bear. If it does become a problem I'll dispatch it with prejudice, if it comes after my dog. My dog has warned it off about 6 times between Oct and the other day. Oh ya, I do have a great firearm for bear, a Marlin .444.

Hope we get the rest of the recovery. This is definitely a big change up from Moab and a recovery that probably very few could pull off. Mike is definitely an asset to the company, not to down play Shawn’s continued contribution. This is just one of the reasons that when I see trail Mater show up, I’m going to it immediately.

Great job as usual. Did you know on the RAM truck, you can pull the emergency key out of the FOB or if it's the other style key with the chip on the end and go to a hardware store and have a key cut to hide under your truck? I believe the blank key you need is a Y157 or a Y159. I used to have RAM trucks and I did that so I could lock the ignition key in the truck and had a door key to unlock it and let others be able to get my truck if I wasn't around.
@michaelrobbins9679
@michaelrobbins9679 2 года назад
Doesn't help if the fob was under water. Don't ask. And you can make your own manual key out of that plastic they seal your stuff at St walmerch trace n shape n file. All you need is a photograph of the key next to a quarter n some tape. ;-)

What a winner of a video, Rory. I was on the edge of my seat watching this. First there was the incredible mountain scenery, a long drive up trails that were very narrow. (I loved the under-belly shots of the wheels and how they moved as you drove) A great video, and then the real actions started with the ropes, long winch lines, snatch blocks brush and scrub on the side of a steep slope. All the stuff of great drama and interest to me. Thank yoiu for taking all the trouble to let us in with the video.

One thing that never really hit me until watching recovery videos is (please confirm), you not only air down the tires for traction in some case, but also to help prevent tire punctures from pointy rocks and sticks, correct? If the tire can flex/give a little more, it may avoid getting punctured by a rock or other debris and allow the tire to give instead of a hole getting poked in it.
