Hi there. Loft pigeons will start breeding around now if allowed to, i prefer march onward, others start now so the birds are flying by summer. I only let then have 6 young max usually 4 young per pair. Cheers.
so this may sound like a ridiculous questiong but is there anything you can do to keep hawks away from pigeons? im just beginning and ive lost 2 pigeons to a hawk. ive started to let them fly later in the day around 6-7pm and thats been working out... going for 6 months already without a hawk getting them.

How deep are your pigeons what do you profur a deep bird 70 to 80 feet or 20 to 30 feet I have a lot of boldies and 60% of them are really deep please let me know what kind of boldies you have what bloodline they come from they look like mason bloodline thanks mate.
