I've got over 100 hours skating on my Tiwster SE's. AND I LOVE THEM. once you get a couple sessions in they really start to be more comfortable. They have taken several falls (I'm a big guy) and they still hold up no problem. I did replace the bearings already and the wheels are getting pretty worn now. But well worth the money. These are my first inline skates as an adult and I'm happy I went with them.
I have been using them for a year now (2022 model). I believe version from 2023 is exactly the same. I loved them from the very first moment. You just feel the quality. They are well built, very responsive, good looking, have amazing liner and wheels included. You can't go wrong with these skates and I am saying this as an ex hockey player who is used to very good responsiveness.
@@carrygun_ I see. However, I see a lot of people at my local rink using hockey inlines to do tricks and overall go fast and fly by people. Guess its just preference
@@memorychili5653 probably they are just used to it. It does not really matter what you are using as both will work. I have spent 15 years playing hockey as a pro and can tell you can thing, stiffness of Twisters XT is top notch.
13:25 I've been using this skate for almost a year now and the stock frame is what it is, but pairing it with Endless 100 RB made it just even better. Also, I used to have a frame shift issue on some of my previous skates, but never on this boot and I think that is thanks to those mounting plates made of high quality aluminum blocks. Cheers!
Hey man! Do you really suggest this skate for casual skater. I want a skate and i am not a good skater. I want a skate to go for years. Is twister xt good for me?
I would buy them, but I need a break! I live on a hill and the road is somewhat steep and 1,5km long, I would have to do a billion of turns in order to decrease speed. If I only miss one or two turns I will turn into a rocket going downhill. I can do power slides at low speeds, but not when going 35km/h or even more. At such speeds my body starts to freeze and I cannot move anymore because of fear :D. Dont know, perhaps it's different with 100mm wheels and this endless frame, perhaps it feels more smooth and stable..?
This is something I already have! I have 282 mondo and 43/44 fits perfectly. Really the best (fitness/urban) skate I ever had. My foot is a bit wide and I have problems in many USD / Powerslide skates, but that Rollderblade fits like a glove.
@@miguecamargo9057 I don't really know why they fit so good. I even have the footboard sizer inside to make it a 43. I measured my feet again and there're around 284mm long. But feet are 3d objects. So maybe you've got a wider ankle area or front foot or whatever. I didn't to anything to make it fit better besides breaking them in over a long time. I did many long trips over 30km and skated them two or three hours minimum per week.
Nice review, I also like these skates, been skating them for almost a year, they are great! The cons that I noticed are: the strap on 45 degree buckle is hard to tie, you need to pull the lever all the way (fixed by replacing the strap); the tongue rubs against the abrasive surface of the liner which makes a hole there; and last but not least is lack of color choices, I'd really love a b&w model like Twister X has.
Definitely good skates, but unfortunatly it's not on my wide feet. Also about top buckle, it was very bad, after first season it had to be changed. P.s my friend, have this special edit and after few months the shel cracked under the 45 strap... rb replied that he tightened them too much, but change boot for a new one 😅
@@victorialarios8475 if u have really wide feet, and u want to ride on this rollerblades, u must be prepared for make some deformations of boot. In my exmpl, i just sold skates and find another, my friends case - he expanded hard boot for more space for his feet. Never know how it will be on your feet. If u ask me, i skate now on Micro Beat, it's smt like Sebe Highlight, also good models for wider feet are Micro Mt plus/FR3, or rollerblade Rb Pro
Awesome, I just received them. What a great timing, Thank you 🥰 Overall I loved them - silent, sturdy, high quality build but there is this problem: Has anyone experienced a pain inducing pressure in the inside tibia bone? Mine are sticking out more than usual and because of the upper buckle being lower than on the FR1s feel constant pressure and pain on the specified spot.
I've got 11 hours on my 2022 Twister Edges. I love them. They're so comfy - my feet never hurt. I run rocker 76/80/80/76 and swapped the frames for FR 165/243. nice for freestyle and dance but the shorter frames are not stable for speed. When I skate the trail for my cardio I'll put the original frames (longer) back on.🤙
Been using the twister with 3W set up since 2020. Went to buy the crossfire but came out of the store with the twister with 4 wheel. The fit and feel out of there box was just too good. No issues with anything on that skate
Thanks. will the cuff from thus new Twister work for all older/classic RB Twister model with vents? (Of course will still need to choose the correct size cuff 270-285)
@@Marcus-cj9bz speed come from bigger wheels…they are 90mm and the best of the frame is the maneuverability… they are very fun for urban and flatland tricks! And very strong too!!😉
They didn't change the mold, they only changed the liners so people could size down. I can pull off a 9.5 but painful so I usually go 10.5 so very comfy but spacious
I agree , a way too much room in the front. I couldn't find a way to stabilize my feet. Unfortunately I don't like these skates. They are way too loose in the front and hurt in the back. And they drive too nervous. I spend a lot of money for a skate I don't want to use.
I have been using this model for 3 months and I am really enjoying it (I am basic/intermediary user getting back to inline after 5y). I already did probably 200 km on it (thank you Cascais for the long beach lanes). Great video btw.
I have been skating this model of skate for a year now; best skate I’ve ridden in over 20 years. All the components are well designed and produced. The new liner is fantastic as well. If you are in the market for a new urban skate I would recommend this skate for everyone. The only other skate that competes is the FR1.
I've had 2 pairs of twister edge, right now I've the new Twister Edge SE and I must say everything he says in this review is correct, I felt exactly the same...
Having the pre-Edge boot (2016 pro model) as well as the first Edge model (2018 110 3WD), I can undoubtedly say that the old mould fits way better. Never had any pain in the old ones (my feet are on the narrow side). After all these years they fit just perfectly. Still skating both, but heavily prefer the oldies. Having said that, maybe this mould is much better.
Wanting to get back to skating, I got these skates. I love how they look, and overall I enjoy them. I find the liner being very stiff at the top, which is something I am not used to. But I understand that the pressure against the shin is actually a good thing. I guess I just have to get used to it, and maybe break them in a little more.
I'm skating Twister XT this for 2 years now, with a 4x80 Seba rocker. I just got me a second pair and put on a IQON Decode frame on it. Haven't skate it yet. I had the same issue with bit of space in the front of my feet, even with a insert soil. My advise .... buy waxed laces. It's cost me €25, but it fits perfectly now. Perfect review Lino!
Thank you SO MUCH for your comment, I'm having the same issue, too much space in the front. So you can actually make it tighter with waxed laces? Genius, thank you!
The thing that annoys me is that a brand as rollerblade on the twisters doesnt have the option to move the frame front or back, thats a must have at this time. Cmon rollerblade get a grip
I am about to buy twister xt. I am not a good skater. Your comment make me think. Can you suggest me a skate to use for years? I think it is good for daily skating
That’s the only really a problem because endless made their frames 180mm not 165 to minimize ride height of an FR boot set up. How often do you really need to move a frame front and back? I skate multiple styles and I’ve literally never wanted to pan my frame front back lol besides when I wanted to fit my endless frames to my 165 boots. I’ve adjusted for pronation and supination plenty of times but front back literally only for endless. The only other situation I could think of is maybe on certain downhill frames or for running 195 frames on these style boots but that’s super niche and won’t impact most skaters 🤷♀️
@@Johnnysthunder front n back adjustments should be basic, i have a bit bigger feet so 4x80 was terrible for me, and even the 4x90 are a bit too much in the front so id really like to move them a bit more in the back for example. Moving frames front n back should be standard on all skate brands
Awesome review. I bought them last year and love 'em. You mentioned the laces not doing much. Tbh I don't even waste my time lacing them up all the way, I only go to my ankle. The cuff straps work just fine.
I can second that. I have 28/28.4cm feet, usually wear size 44,5-45. So i ordered 44,5-45. They were too roomy for me in the front (even though the heel was locked in). So ii went down to their recommended size for my 28cm feet, which is 43/44. Fits absolutely perfect, snug, very comfortable.
@@MaCostaII ,@SimonJonasMusic Guys 42/42,5 it is !!!! The side support is perfect, the liner is a tiny bit too short, but it will stretch anyway durign the next weeks. So after 20km today, my big toes get a bit numb, but just a tiny bit, it's not too uncomfortable, otherwise I wouldn't have made my 20km: And the skate is fuckin fast and the wheels are very grippy, i cannot slide anymore :-( haha. The wheels have very good grip. All in all, I am very satisfied regarding the fit and the control it offers. I've sent back the Charcoal 90's, for me it feels like a concrete boot, it's very hard, no flex at all. For anyone interested: I have foot length: 275mm, widest part of my foot is: 110mm. My foot is normal, not fat
Sooooooo I added frame aND 110 on this boot ,,, endless FUN. Great upgrade but expensive... Mr Lino you are a very inspiring bloke thx for that.... I now have 2 pair of twister boots with endelss frames and 5 wheels and 3 wheels. I FRIGGIN LOVE IT. I dont blame you for my bad economy... (maybe I should?)
Aye Lino! So I have the 2018 3 wheel version of these and they hurt my feet so bad. I had the 4 wheel frame for a week and it was more comfortable than the 3 wheel, but I still wonder… what are your most comfortable 4 wheel skates??
I had the 2022 model for 1 month, but it hurt my ankle so bad I had to stop skating for a few days, after I bought my FR1 the pain was gone and the rollerblade was sold.
A bit off-topic, but I have to ask. At 1:15 (and can be seen in many of your other videos), you accelerate in a straight line by crossing your legs; that is, you push to the left with your right leg, and push to the right with your left leg. I haven't seen anyone else do this. I tried it this morning, and while I can do it, I felt that my legs were getting in each other's way. So my question to you: why do you skate that way? Power? Agility? I'm just curious!
I am having those limited ones SE, the problem I see is that indeed, there is a bit more space in front but when I try to lace them harder it starts to push on the top of the feet. Those older shells twister 80f.e. I liked more. But this is matter of foot shape. But overall great skates!
i have have the same foot size as Ricardo, but I sized down and chose: 42/42,5, which is a little bit tight at the front at the beginning, but after 20km it is perfect! In 43 my heel felt a bit loose, so i sized down and dont regret it.
Why can I no longer find extra adjustments to rocker the front wheel upward? Does anyone know of a brand/model available that still offers this feature? It really helps with sharp turns, and fatigue when skating lots of miles. (This was a feature on my original K2's). Thanks
Iam 200 plus pounds in shape but heavy. I bought k2 kinetic men’s 80 and instantly returning them bc they are flimsy. Are these metal frame? I would buy rn if they are strong
Love the Rollerblade Twister Edge and now the Twister XT. I use both 4x80mm & 3x110mm for their previous and latest version. I see you shared about some space, on the XT it comes with extra insoles to help adjust the size/comfort. Good video thanks 🙏😊 #inlineskatebrunei @ashadiajimain
I just bought them, but i feel pain on my foot i got them siZe 9-9.5 which are my shoe size... its been years since i hit skate could that be the reason?? The pain i get r on the bottom of my foot
I'm looking for a more supportive upgrade from the current 4wd rollerblades that I have rn that I have been skating in for a little over a year now and I think these will be perfect.
ciao Lino, I think the problem is due to an imperfect morphology of the ankles that many of us have, I had to modify the left shell of the RB80, drilling 2 3 cm holes in correspondence with the internal malleoli, and now I'm fine, before it was unbearable after 30 minutes.
I think your boot was too big. I had to downsize mine. That said the bigger boot was not too bad either. The heel lock is great on these skates and yes they feel solid and responsive.
Always love your video's and effort. Would you say that the thickness of the aluminium blocks and plastic feels like trinity mount? i've got next with trinity, love that it feels like a stable platform attached to my feet. Keep up the good work!
Great video thanks! Bought these are got to skate for the first time today! Loved them! Only strange thing is the bottoms of my heels were pretty numb when taking off the skates after an hour or so. Hopefully just a break in deal that will get better.
I did not like the twister edge! Heavy asf for a freeskate, the boot was super bulky, the liner was uncomfortable and the cuff had very strange actuation. There’s lots of people that love them, deffo wasn’t the one for me unfortunately. Basically felt massively over engineered and was massive true to size too 🤷🏻♂️
Hey Ricardo, love the edit. In the beginning I know about those shots when you're shooting by yourself but want to get good much angles (it's easier & funner when someone tracks you) but yeah I can relate. Love the 2 angles blending in together of the parallel slide and then you pulling the camera towards in the car (good editing skills man). I've been skating Twister edge for 3 yrs now it's still my fav skate thus far.
If Rollerblade would finally add the 190mm mounting to the Twister and their Croffire I´d be in to test them with my Endless 110 but until then I´ll stick to FR. However they look amazing and RB definetly has some high quality skates!
I was wondering if the three holes on the metal mounting plates are all threaded with this model? I was very surprised to find on a friends older pair that the only mounting option was the 165 even though it had holes above and below that just weren't threaded to take a mounting bolt.
If they are sized like the twister pro's they are true to size. Are the frames able to be moved back/ forward on these? Ive had a great experience on the pros for about 4 years other then I should of went a half size bigger, but they have been great and are comfortable.
I got these and love them. I did switch the default wheels/frames out for the Twister 3WD frame because since bought this skate solely for the boot (I needed a larger boot and hated the color of the Twister 3WDs so I put my old Twister frames on this new Twister boot.)
Love your channel. Can you explain height difference UFS vs 165s like if you take this boot with custom wizard frame or a UFS boot with custom wizard frame, what will be the height difference to the ground? 🙏
None. you would just need to add few millimeters of plastic on the heel of the boot and slighly change the position of the holes. That what FR did with there UFR boot which is basically a FR1 with UFS mount.
@@Dark_Oopa Surely when you look at the Rollerblade Crossfire boot vs an Adapt boot, the Adapt is flat vs the Crossfire. Shouldn't there be height difference to the ground between the two?
@@voxdeus I bought mine a couple of days ago for 239€ ;-) But when I look at idealo's price history, they were sold for 161€ less than a year ago . We actually paid too much. I really like them, but I guess they are not really durable, after 10 days I already have really deep scratches on my boots.
