My friend got him on accident lol and in that accident he got Tighnari, Qiqi, and Collei like I am literally jealous of him I worked and worked and still dont have him while my friend just decided to use his extra 10 pull and got a double 5*

how should i build him to maximize his shield?

@@lemnlyme Crown(or level up as much as you can) his skill and get literally as much HP as you can on him,i'm talking triple main stat HP artifacts and as many HP subs as you can plus Black Tassel(it has an HP stat) aswel as 4pc Tenacity of Milelith which gives HP bonus for 2pc and buffs everyone for 4pc when Zhongli's pillar does dmg to enemies which it does nonstop. Some may say 2pc ToM and 2pc Bolide but the Bolide shield strength bonus if i am not mistaken(may be) only works on him while he's on the field protected by his own shield same goes for all shielders like Noelle and Diona and so on,Bolide buffs the shield when the user of it is protected by a shield, it's a pretty stupid effect since its role if to buff shields yet it fails big time to do it so is not rlly good unless you go for a self shielding DPS Zhongli or something and at that point other options are better, that is for shield only tho but he can be built as a hybrid between shield and burst support and his shield still tanks alot of dmg even like that plus he can also use Noblesse as a burst DPS hybrid so he does dmg and buffs others aswel. I personally go for shield only, i hate jack of all trades master of none characters, i prefer to have each excel at one thing they do best rather than do everything just good or decent. As a baseline i'm pretty sure a 45k-50k HP Zhongli is what you want to look for as a result for a proper shield build but the more the better and remember his shield scales on HP and HP% scales off of the character's base HP so leveling him to 90 is also a thing you should do.

​@@ELITE_AG Never said that ain't a good build tho :3 I would love to try it someday tbh but for now my characters deal enough dmg but they're kinda flimsy which is why i couldn't solo the weeklies up until now,so him being a shielder to me is more important than 500k dmg per meteor XD.

I’m still struggling to get zhongli after spending thousands of primogems(I’m a F2P player) I’m farming gems for last time and try to get him and then I’ll give up😔😔😔

Yeah now I’m in your boat except Jean was the one who stole him from me and now because I was stupid and rolled for klees banner after getting kazuha before and ended up GETTING Klee at 31 I’m definitely not getting the at minimum 11k I need to roll him
