Wanted to say, I love this podcast and I watch it weekly when painting my minis. Just a bit of feedback, and hopefully I'm not out of line, but at times, it seemed like both microphones were picking up sound so there was a bit of a reverb. That being said, I love the content and will keep tuning in!

The excitement I felt when y'all mentioned swashbuckler rogue. I'm running one right now, and I built her from class to race. I love my swashbuckler halfling so much. She's been so fun.

Since 3.5 (skipping 4E and instead playing pathfinder 1e using their free online sources) our group would roll 7 sets of 4d6. After rolling the 4d6 we would drop the lowest roll and add the remaining 3 highest d6. Out of the 7 sets we again drop the lowest. Lastly we assign the totals to our preferred stats. This gives better results on average and still allows for some random variation. Just because it a roll playing game doesn't mean it can't have combat either. They aren't mutually exclusive after all that the game aspect of it. Without it it's just an RP.

I watch you guys from the world of Star Wars D20 pre saga edition. Been playing for 25 years, every week, very heavily written right storylines… I mention this so my two reactions make sense. First, the idea of skipping a week if someone can’t play speaks to me. We rotate sessions weekly with three game masters telling separated stories. When it’s mine I won’t continue the story if they all aren’t there. But when you mentioned rolling stats, I had a firm disagreement. We will frequently create characters as side characters in each others stories. And despite the many archetypes we have access to, we all stick firmly to rolling stats. It adds a chaotic element that I like. It’s almost like working genetics into your character; the strengths and weaknesses we can’t control. Just a side perspective I thought I’d mention.
