Here's one of the ways we do the scissors throw in sambo. The focus here is to get points for the throw, but just as important, to transition to the ground to secure a leg or ankle lock.

I wouldn't attempt it in a judo tournament.

​@@welcomematstevescottProbably would not be accepted even as a throw, since judo rules restrict the allowable throws to recognizable variations of the basic throws. Since the direction of the throw has been changed, not really the same throw, so it would be a waste of time to at best.
