It’s absolutely criminal not to have at least 1 Musiq Soulchild song in the top 10. Halfcrazy, Love, Teach me how to love, So Beautiful, Don’t Change ,Just Friends etc. That guy has top tier R&B tracks, especially from the early 2000s

@@crowing3886 facts, it’s screams “YT people made this list”. Because we know usher confessions ain’t even in the top 20. That’s wasn’t even the best track on the album if we being honest. Burn or Superstar would have made more sense

Well we know no publications are going to give the disgraced king his flowers. That’s why they chose Usher. Basically trying to convince people that he’s the king of R&B but real ones know it’s Robert. TP2 is work of art

I always struggle to establish what classifies as R&B. By the way the guys are measuring here, it’s just any song by a black singer. How can Frank Ocean Pyramaids be considered similar music to Usher Confessions? I’m genuinely asking to be educated here.

Good question! As a singer/ musician, I always say Frank Ocean falls within a sub-genre called "Alternative R&B" along with acts like SZA. It's not quite neo-soul but not quite "Classic R&B"...He's definitely "Contemporary R&B" though which emcompasses ALOT of different new age sounds and genre-bending. Just my take 🤷🏾‍♂️

Confessions Part 2 is up there yall niggas is crazy. That’s an all timer. Dangerously In Love is NASTY. The beat evolution in the second verse is filth. Keyshia Cole got a couple tracks that should be in top 10 as well.
