The Rolling Stones stole their so called Masterpiece from Erkin Koray. This song is the Origin of Paint it Black / Erkin Koray - Bir Eylül Aksami! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WKmPlZHakQo.html Old Turkish Songs were legendary!
2:15. Brian was on a different level. Seated cross legged, all in white, gold hair, rockin the sitar and staring right through you. Earth was just part of his tour of the universe, which is why he wasn’t here that long. RIP
@@donjuan2679Brian and Jimi are probably making the song they never had a chance of making when they were alive. Brian might also jam along with his former band mate Charlie Watts, and maybe with George Harrison and John Lennon too.
What a great song, I love it! I put it into my "Shellshocked Radio - Recommendations" List: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hvgzDHZl60Q.html Very well done!
57 Years and counting ..... My all-time favourite rock n roll song ! I was 10 when this song was performed . I had already been listening to the Stones for 2 years . Nobel prize for humanity and joy ...
I’m 23 and have somehow just came upon Rolling Stones. I’ve known who they were just wasn’t familiar (my father listens to rap) I love this song, I love how in this video you see all the little girls going crazy for these living legends!
[Instrumental Intro] [Verse 1] I see a red door and I want it painted black No colours anymore, I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes [Verse 2] I see a line of cars and they're all painted black With flowers and my love, both never to come back I see people turn their heads and quickly look away Like a newborn baby, it just happens every day [Verse 3] I look inside myself and see my heart is black I see my red door, I must have it painted black Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black [Verse 4] No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue I could not foresee this thing happening to you If I look hard enough into the setting sun My love will laugh with me before the morning comes [Verse 5] I see a red door and I want it painted black No colours anymore, I want them to turn black I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes I have to turn my head until my darkness goes [Outro] I wanna see it painted, painted black Black as night, black as coal I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky I wanna see it painted, painted, painted Painted black, yeah
Brian contributed richly to the Stones' sound and style with his love of the Blues and world music. He wasn't here for long, but he used his time well. ❤
Well it’s kinda too late for that since John Lennon, George Harrison, Brian Jones, and other members of both bands are dead(though John and George are the only dead members of The Beatles as of right now )
"He formed the band. He chose the members. He named the band. He chose the music we played. He got us gigs. ... he was very influential, very important, and then slowly lost it - highly intelligent - and just kind of wasted it and blew it all away." -Bill Wyman

Good? They were distinctive-looking, I'll give 'em that. When I see how they were then, I think Charlie is the most attractive of the whole bunch! But they were just so different from the Beatles, musically. And from so many other British man-bands.
That incredible look of pure satisfaction on Brian's face at :10...made it on the Ed Sullivan show in America with a new sound and new instrument, still in the blues vein.
Mick and Keith are immortal. Not to sound disrespectful by any means, but the amount of partying both Mick and Keith have done in their life time, and now in their mid 70s? And their still going strong and still playing with the Rolling Stones. Rock on.✌
Their consistency was unbelievable also. As you said, gargantuan amounts of drugs and women, yet delivered exceptionally high standards of work. Jones more than played his part in the 63-68 era, both Jagger and Richards are forces of nature - 68-74 specifically.
Not live, but still one of their best. So good to see Brian looking so cool and displaying his amazing musicianship! No one could match Mick’s vocal histrionics. A thing of joy and pure energy.
Brian and Charlie are now jamming this song together again in heaven, along with others such as John Lennon, George Harrison, Keith Moon, John Entwistle, John Bonham, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, and many more
For 1966 they were way ahead of their time in Rock & Roll. You can hear it in the. entire song. The sound, the melody, the the rhythms the guitaring and the lyrics. I love the Indian Sitar Guitar sound and sitting down on the floor playing the guitar is so cool and (Mod). George Harrison would have sat down with you and played too if he was there for sure! Very British. The girls screamed just like they screamed for the Beatles. Your Band is very cool and always has been. I've always loved the Rolling Stones. Sorry you lost your classic Drummer.
I can remember as a little kid & parents telling me this is one of the great rock song, in life as i get older in life i enjoy all the different bands my parent's loved and listened to growing up.
Que en paz descansen Brian y Charlie, siempre los recordaremos hasta el fin de nuestros días, gracias por tanta musica, por haber sido fundadores de la mejor banda de rock de la historia, por haber llenado de alegría con su música nuestros corazones.
"Keith still has a great deal of respect for Brian. 'Brian was one of those guys who could walk into the studio and pick up an instrument he had never played before, like the marimbas in Under My Thumb or the star in Paint It Black. He’s remembered every time we play. Time Is On My Side….the whole basic idea of the sound of the Stones. That’s why were still talking about him. Dead but not forgotten'." (Relix magazine, 1993)
Even before getting interested in the stones when I would see this young blonde man with the cool bowl haircut standing out in all white sitting there playing this weird sitar instrument I couldn't help but be captured by him. How well he matches with the purple and black background it's just amazing. He takes the shine off of the amazing Mick Jagger ,who I only knew, just by sitting cross legged and playing the most vital instrument in the song and moving to the music. I would always question myself why he wasnt in other Rolling Stones from the later years say 70s 80s and their newer tours. He was there and then he was gone. Now I know who he was, he was Brian Jones founder of the Rolling Stones and my favorite stone.
57 years later we still talk about the legend Brian jones. Thanks for one of the greatest music of all time from one of the greatest band of all time . ❤

🤔…..out of the blue and into the black - The Rolling Stones, The Beatles….. almost half of those guys gone now. And this song - so haunting…. Probably my favorite Stones tune ever.
That sound generated from the Sitar is mindblowing. Brian Jones is phenomenal playing that instrument as is the rest of the band members. They are not the same without Charlie Watts he is a genius percussionist.
