Honestly, I feel like should have just edited in the actual Rolling chorus, run a drum track under it, just for the last one. It kinda falls flat leaving the chorus over the outro riff, it loses all the drama. Everything else is immaculate, but the thing stopping me looping this endlessly is no payoff really :(
I CANNOT unhear this! This is the Holy Grail of music right here! It's so perfect; a match made in heaven! Now if only Adele teamed up with a rock band, her music would be so much more amazing.
This almost works except for the chorus build up to nothing and it just goes on with the rest of the song leaving out the best part till the end where it doesn't quite work. Like blue balls to the ears.
Oh my god, refusing to have the chorus play until the absolute end made this mix up very powerful and was a very intelligent and creative decision to do so.
I will post what I wrote on another comment: actually kind of profound.. knowing the song is about lamenting about what could've been..... that 'want' of the chorus to happen almost forces empathy on the listener.
I was never too fond of Adele, but this mashup is fantastic. Love the anticipation at Survivor's chorus hoping Adele would go into "Rolling in the Deep."

fun fact about this mashup: the elementary school i went to for a few years had eye of the tiger as their school song, and this was right around the time rolling in the deep was released. i remember our principal coming into the lunchroom one day, plugging his giant laptop into the speaker system, and just playing this. insane that of all videos to recommend to me, youtube chose this one. what a wild nostalgia trip.
Several places where "We could have had it all" would have been appropriate to include where it wasn't. Feels like the omission was intentional. Minus that, this is diamond perfect.
For the record, I attempted this the other night. They're in slightly different keys and in general, it sounds...disappointing. I'm not sure if I'll ever upload it.
Just finished, the ending is a tad sketchy. It'd work better without her hook at all in the entirety of the song. That build to the chorus that never comes becomes the chorus and the gap in vocals between verses is what really makes it stick, letting that infamous riff shine. If Survivor never recorded eye of the tiger and Adele dropped this TODAY, it'd be/come as famous as Landslide
Musical magic, somethings fit just because. Persuaded my band to gig this and it melts peoples faces every time when the Adele lyrics come in. Masterpiece!

WHOOOOAAAHHHH.....IM LOVING ALL THESE MASHUPS.... I just got into mixing music and dont know why the vocalists dont go with better producers....ive already taken some myself and transformed the feel of the song....this version would have promoted Adele so well....such a natural rock n roll voice im surprised she never went the rock path to expand in style
