Wes thank you so much for your time in putting this together. The instructions are very clear as well understanding why you are doing what you are doing. Appreciate your guidance
That is an excellent idea...thank you for your suggestion. We have a job coming up that requires a rollout shelf so we will be sure to make a video on the installation. We appreciate you watching.
Hi Shawn...I wanted to let you know we have finally got the video completed that you have asked for. It is on installing roll out shelf slides and will be published tomorrow September 30, 2020. Thank you for supporting our channel...hope you enjoy it.
Why did you not glue the butt joint? I know most of the glue would absorb into the end grain, but I would worry that the 18 gauge brads are strong enough. Have you ever had any problems with your joints failing?
My first drawer is fine although it is not easy for a rookie to keep the nails straight. On the next drawer I made the channels too wide for the 1/4 inch bottom. Is it okay to glue something like matchsticks into the grooves to take up the slack? Or should I just start over? Thank you.
Hi Jim...my first choice would be to redo. Experience has taught me there is no short cut to doing it right. I would hate to count how many times I have had to do it over in my career...don’t feel alone. Good luck.
I finished the drawers and the clear coat is drying on the drawer fronts. Do you have a preferred method of attaching the drawer fronts? They look just like yours at the end of your installation video.
@@jimgellein1072 I attached the rollout shelf face with 1" long 18 gage nails. Just nailing from the inside of the drawer to the back side of the drawer face. Sounds like you did a great job...hope this helps.
