For over a century, Rolls-Royce has been bringing to life the visions of its customers. From personalised hues to lavish interiors to eye-catching motifs, the only limitation is your imagination. See some of the most memorable designs.
Forgive me for saying this, but I find the fact that you can choose the sky to base your fiber optic star ceiling on, or even choose the size of the cup holder to be a perfect fit for the buyer's favorite drink, but the driver can't even choose the exact gear to drive in (aka manual shifting mode) quite funny. I understand if the Phantom or the Ghost doesn't have one, but the models designed for driver like Wraith (or may be Dawn) really should have one.
Well I think that logic behind it is that RR tends to make relaxing cars, cars that (even driver oriented ones) don't involve driver in unnecessary processes in driving and let the driver enjoy in other things (and in RR there are plenty of that). If you make the best cars the have to be different and daring and RR is precisely that.
What I saw was AUTOMOTIVE PORNOGRAGHY at its absolute BEST! What this video does is explain why a car can take on a personality much like people, This was truly the BEST CAR VIDEO EVER CREATED for a car company!!! It also shows that Rolls-Royces, even though they cost around $250K-$300K, it's hard see why people think it's expensive at all, I actually would name it the best saloon in the world . . . if only they made a Rolls-Royce Phantom Hatchback, I'd call it the PhantomBack!!!!!
Rolls Royce construct their cars with aluminum. Since their company claims that it's willing to personalize a car as a customer wishes then what if a customer wanted his car to be made of steel instead of the standard aluminum that Rolls Royce uses to make their cars ? That is, all steel chassis, all steel engine block and other engine components, steel bumpers on the car both front and rear and all steel body shell. If a willing paying customer wanted his car to be made in this specific way then would Rolls Royce do it for them ?
houseofwine Well that's good to know that Rolls Royce is a little bit more open to the customer's imagination whereas Ferrari tends to be more strict in preserving the sporting identity of their cars in keeping with the company's racing heritage and history, so they are very limited in what they're willing to do for their customers. I once generated the ire of many Ferrari enthusiasts when I once suggested that Ferrari should build an all steel pickup truck with the steel chassis, V8 engine block with automatic transmission and all steel body shell to introduce in their model lineup for mass production. Ohhh the sacrilege, the blasphemy, the desecration they thought of me. I'm sure many of them thought that I should've been burnt at the stake for such blasphemy of the brand LOL.
Just watched this in Feb 2022. That video being 8 years ago, and looking at the cars displayed then must be an embarrassment to all at RR now. Awful and garish are not even a close description of the designs shown. Only saver, is the Phantom Coupe which is a 1,000% better looking car than the ugly and awkward RR Wraith. Strangely, I penned a similar design only a year ago as to improve the Wraith. Too all at RR, if you see this, produce the Coupe and ditch the Wraith.
