This is the second video showing the progression of the restoration of my Phantom III. This shows the removal of the front and rear wheel hubs/brake drums. Unlike a typical or more simple car, there is quite a few parts and special tools involved with removing Pre-War Rolls-Royce brake drums. I chose to remove these items from the chassis after it was mounted on the rotisserie stand since I like to work from front to back removing components starting at the front. However, since I had the hub tools out, it made sense to do the rear ones as well.

Dear Mr. Jayne, incredible! I grew up in Potomac Maryland and later lived in Swarthmore when my Dad was cargo station manager for Lufthansa in Philadelphia. Your selfless and mild-mannered take on these behemoths is relaxing for me and I enjoy looking over your shoulder w/o getting on your nerves. Usually I get kicked out of garages on account of asking too many questions. I have a 1950 Riley RMA LHD being restored in Latvia and I am convinced I need to buy up more tools to do work like pulling wheel hubs later by myself. By the way, Mr. Jayne, the sight of those leather "gaiters" over the rear leaf springs is a real scream!! Will follow this for sure!

👍 Interesting video of a classic phantom III . Personally I believe Henry Royce would be very disappointed 😥 that his former company was sold off to the Germans. Of which his company once built Merlin engine aeroplanes to fight them !..Reat in peace Rolls_Royce 1904 - 2002....😢
